Essential reading for a good stay

My low score reflects my experience ( see below ) not the quality of the accommodation which would be an 8 or more. The property is new, nice decor and a great shower with a rainwater head. Outside there are sun loungers and even an umbrella to take to the beach which is less than 100 metres away as is a reasonably good taverna. WiFi strength is excellent. There are no shops nearby meaning a two km walk back into town. The kitchenette ( see photo ) is basically two shelves with an electric hotplate and some cups, plates and utensils but no kettle or saucepan so not sure exactly how you are supposed to use hotplates. Self catering other than basic breakfast not possible.

I am an experienced traveller but in this case that worked against me. Usually in the islands you are met by the host and either walked or driven to the accommodation. Over the past few years thanks to key boxes and self check in this doesn't always happen. On arrival there was no one to meet me with my name nor a vehicle marked Harokopou Studios. After looking around I set off to walk the two Kms to Harakopu. I spent forty wasted minutes looking for the studio which has no sign and the locals in the taverna didn't know where it was. I am Australian, I don't speak Greek and my phone doesn't have international roaming so all this is partly my fault. I finally found a receptionist in a hotel who called the host who arrived ten minutes later. Apparently a message telling me to look for the Paradise bus at the port had either not been sent or missed by me. On check in I noticed there was no kettle and Chico left promising to drop one off. Later I realised there was no information re WiFi code and despite several messages and emails I got no response. Luckily the following morning one of the other guests gave me the password and the kettle eventually turned up after lunch. I don't think that my experience is unique as a Portuguese lady walked in having given up after waiting two hours for the shuttle to arrive. Luckily her telephone worked and I was able to help her by calling the contact number. On my final morning as expected my promised 9.00 am shuttle didn't arrive. I waited ten minutes then walked to the port arriving at 9.30. The Paradise bus arrived a couple of minutes later in time for the 9..40 departure but it would have been a very anxious 20 minute wait. These are my recommendations. 1. Confirm and expect pick up from the port. If necessary ask around the other drivers. Don't expect to see your name. 2. The supermarket is visible when you disembark. Buy any water, milk, beer etc before you board the shuttle.

The location is good. Also the staff were very helpful with arranging transfers and providing a quick shower before we left. The studios itself has recently been renovated and therefore looks nice

It lacks proper facilities: hand soap, a mattress topper, drying cloth etc. And has been renovated poorly with stuff that is loose/not well built all over. It could also use some decoration as the studio itself and its surroundings look unfinished

Pleasant accommodation with a very high price

The host was very welcoming and available, I asked him to check out 2 hours later than his policy and he gladly accommodated us, let alone that he asked us how we were doing and how was our staying. He was indeed a very nice host. Also the location of the rooms was very convenient for several reasons. The apartment was only 100 meters from Finikas beach so you could get some food or drinks , as well as enjoy a beautiful beach if you didnt wish to walk another 35 min to Pori beach. In addition it was only 20 min walk from the port of the island where all restaurants, shops and nightlife was, so a pleasant walk but also far away enough to have a peaceful sleep at night. Moreover the view was beautiful, watching the sea, the olive trees and the landscape of surrounding islands. Also, there was basic cleaning service every day with changing of towels.

Although the outside is quaint, the inside is less than basic. The furniture is very old and the stove is for maximum making one egg. Also in the bedroom with the double bed (room 5), the distance between the bed and the sink is less than 30 cm so you can hardly walk through that small way without hitting yourself to the furniture. The bathroom has an unpleasant smell and the sink was almost blocked. It is advised to put some kind of basic furniture to the bathroom as there was no space to put anything like basic toiletries, etc. Last but not least, the orientation of the room had sun almost 80% of the time, so it was a bit of a challenge to find a corner where all 4 guests could sit without being under the scorching sun. We didnt mind there was no internet, however for such a high price, the expectation for the room was much higher

I stayed at Harokopou Studios with my boyfriend. The room was in a great location: very close to the beaches and about 15 minutes from the port and Chora. The room had everything you need.

The only thing that could be improved is the kitchen equipment: the kitchen did not have a pot for cooking pasta. In any case, there are many nice and inexpensive restaurants to eat.

Clean room with an option for new linens every few days upon request. There is an option to transfer you from the port to the studios, which is super useful because the studios are far from the city.

Location ideale per soggiorno relax

-Ottima la posizione dell'appartamento, a qualche passo da una delle spiagge più belle dell'isola. Da notare però che la zona è davvero isolata: ci sono solo due taverne per mangiare e nessun supermercato. Anche l'illuminazione in strada è assente, dunque occorre utilizzare la torcia del cellulare per spostarsi la sera. La zona più vivace del porto, con servizi e ristoranti, è raggiungibile a circa 15/20 minuti a piedi. -Staff molto gentile, accogliente e disponibile. Ottimo il servizio trasferimento gratuito dal porto alla struttura, sia in andata che al ritorno. Davvero apprezzabile la possibilità di usufruire dei servizi e della piscina del loro hotel principale (dove avviene il checkout) anche dopo il checkout, nell'attesa del proprio traghetto di ritorno. -Piacevole il patio privato di accesso all'appartamento, dotato di due comode sdraio e di un tavolino per la colazione. -A disposizione un ombrellone da portare in spiaggia (apprezzabile!)

-La pulizia quotidiana dell'appartamento è scarsa: cambiano solo gli asciugamani e rifanno il letto. I pavimenti e le superfici non sono mai passati e non c'è una scopa per provvedere da sé. -Nonostante vi sia un piccolo angolo cucina con piastra elettrica, bollitore dell'acqua e un frigorifero, non ci sono pentole a disposizione, né uno spazio adeguato per consumare un piccolo pasto, se non fuori (peccato però che il costante vento forte non lo consenta!) -Sistemazione un po' cara...

El paraíso en la isla

Apartamento idílico: enfrente de la playa Finikas, con restaurantes cercanos, puedes ver la playa desde la cama. El apartamento es muy cómodo y está a 15 min andando del pueblo. No hay para cocinar, pero la restauración de cerca vale la pena. La atención ha sido excelente. Estoy segura de que repetiré otra vez!

Muy bien ubicado, no lejos del pueblo, con un restaurante excelente y barato cerca, frente a una playa maravillosa.

El horario de limpieza de la habitación justo al final de la tarde todos los días ha sido inadecuado. El primer día directamente pedimos que no limpiaran porque estábamos dentro, en sucesivos tuvimos que hacer tiempo en la terraza mientras limpiaban. Sería mejor que buscasen otro horario en el que la gente por lo general no suela estar en la habitación.

Accueil non professionnel: le studio proposé n'a pas de raccordement à l'eau , ni d'évacuation ! Il a fallu en changer ! Equipement de cuisine rudimentaire : pas de poêle ni de casserole, ni de grande cuillère ; pas même de saladier ! Il faut réclamer 3 fois avant d'obtenir un saladier et 2 grandes cueilleres !

Ωραία τοποθεσία και κοντά στις παραλίες του νησιού. Εξυπηρετικό προσωπικό και υπήρχε δωρεάν υπηρεσία μεταφοράς από και προς το λιμάνι. Γίνεται ανακαίνιση στο κατάλυμα - πολύ άνετα κρεβάτια.

Υπήρχαν στο δωμάτιο δύο μονά κρεβάτια αντί για ένα διπλό - ενδεχομένως να ενοχλεί κάποιον.
