Ray of Maya near to taj mahal

Clean room with comfy beds, fridge and kettle. Well set out bathroom with nice shower and facilities. Lovely breakfast over at sister hotel across the road. When the power went out (due to strong winds) during our stay, staff were quick to get it back on. Hotel owner also very helpful.

Unfortunately, another guest had left a tap running when checking out, and we also ran out of water. Steep steps up to the rooms would not suit those less mobile. There was also an aggressive monkey trying to get in the door off the balcony, and although I realised later that he wouldn't be able to push open the door far enough to get in, it was a little scary for a moment!

What makes this such an outstanding property originates from the owner of the property itself. Rajish has an acute understanding of what it takes to run a successful hotel, holding his guests in the highest regard and serving their every need before the guest might even consider it themselves. There is absolutely nothing to fault at Ray of Maya from the exceptional attentiveness of staff with their prompt, professional and courteous service, the high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the property, the broad menu of food options that are delicious, reliable high-speed internet, back-up power, and a very real desire for guests to feel they are highly valued. I live full time in hotels throughout the region as part of my occupation and I believe this property to be in an elite class of its own.

Ein perfektes kleines Hotel für den Besuch des Taj Mahal und anderer Sehenswürdigkeiten in Agra. Alles war absolut sauber, das Bad hatte rutschfeste Fliesen, was in Indien eher selten der Fall ist. Das Hotel liegt etwas von der Hauptstraße zurück, hat doppelt verglaste Fenster und war daher eine Oase der Ruhe. Zum West-Eingang des Taj Mahal sind es nur ca. 800 m. Ein reichhaltiges Frühstück inklusive hausgebackenemToastbrot gibt es bis 11 Uhr im Restaurant desselben Besitzers auf der anderen Straßenseite, so dass man auch nach einem frühen Besuch des Taj noch in aller Ruhe frühstücken kann. Das Personal im Hotel und im Restaurant war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
