3 BR-2BA Luxury - Ile Saint Louis on the Seine River

Perfectly (centrally) located apartment on the Seine in a safe, clean location. Beautiful view and opening the windows was divine. Nicely accommodated. Beds were quite comfortable (and I’m picky). Very close to the metro etc.We had 4 adults and it worked out well. (I’d max at 4 adults/2 children.) There is no place for luggage storage so pack light (we put most in the living room along wall) but the closets were enough, and everything in Paris (France) is small so be prepared to adjust to smaller spaces everywhere. The two bathrooms were nicely arranged and two separate toilette spaces worked out great for mornings etc. The kitchen has the necessary basics, including a clothes washer—but be prepared to dry your clothes on the rack provided (this is normal throughout Europe as these units are inefficient dryers). We were just happy to have a washer at the end of our cross country trip! And hot water is instant and the pressure was fabulous. The couch was very comfortable and we loved the change of decor to more neutral tones. Only the chairs were a bit uncomfortable, but I understand trying to keep things light and small. We weren’t there to sit around much anyway and it worked. We never turned on the TV and we never heard the neighbors. We loved the island with its shops, restaurants, and grocers so close. It was quite charming and the hostess who met us at the apartment was kind and attentive. We really enjoyed our stay in Paris.

3.5 stars Positives - The location and neighborhood are amazing! It was easy to get everywhere but the island made for a quieter place to retreat while still finding great food options. The space was also perfect for our group of 6 people (4 adults and 2 kids)! Note that the bunk bed room and one of the double rooms are connected. Negatives - We essentially had no hot water in the showers! We tried everything and not one of us got more than 3-5 minutes of hot water. Also, when using the washer/dryer, there was no way to dry our clothes. While we understood that the dryer may not completely dry everything (even with the very small loads we did), it took several drying cycles to get them to the “damp” stage and no drying rack was provided to finish the process. We reached out to the owner two days in a row about these issues and it took a long time for a response. We did finally get in touch with a property manager who arranged for a plumber to check the hot water situation but it was not resolved before we left. For the cost of this unit, we expected hot water and more responsiveness from the owner.
