Unit was exactly as described. Loved the location, the pools and hot tubs were a nice break from the Gulf. Would definitely return!

We stayed in unit 1017 on the 10th floor. Upon arriving my wife tried to open the back sliding glass door and it wouldn’t budge. I then tried and it was frozen in place. I tried everything but it wouldn’t move. We called Gulf Sands Rentals and were told that they don’t have a maintenance person on site and they could try to get them out as soon as they could. I told them ok and then tried to MacGyver the door open by rubbing soap on the track. It worked, but only for a day. We ended up having to use the sliding glass door in the master bedroom.
On top of this the door, when closed, left an opening at top and with the remnants of Hurricane Fred blowing in the whole living room had sand and rain coming in. Needless to say I am not happy about this.
I called on our way home to let them know again and voice my displeasure but the man who answered kept talking over me. I realized that he was doing this on purpose and when I told him I know that he’s playing a game with me he chuckled and hung up.
Other than this the location, view, and front desk of the Lighthouse Resort were all 5 stars. Would I stay here again? Yes but not through the horrendous Gulf Sands Rentals.
