Great place if heating had worked in living room.

Spacious, nice views

No heat in living room. When contacted was told that maintenance had been informed. Didn’t help us booked a pkace with big sitting area so we could all be together, but because of cold couldn’t really use it. Shower water pressure weak.

A relaxing experience

The property was beautiful. I stayed sigh my friends and I really enjoyed it. The house was spacious and very comfortable and it was in a really lovely location. Cong was 12 mins away by car

The road on the way to the property is very narrow. So you need to be mindful when driving at night. It is a small country road.

This was a great place for our large group. We stayed in three of the houses and they were all next to each other, so we could mingle as much as we wanted. The view was spectacular and the area was very quiet. It was very easy to check-in and very easy to check out.

So, these are not complaints, just observations. First, read the instructions on how to work the hot water. Once you've sorted that, you'll be fine. Second, this isn't an AirBnB; the houses have kitchen supplies, but you'll want to buy anything you need (including napkins, salt, pepper, etc.) for your stay. Third, if you're lost without the internet, this might not be the place for you. Service was intermittent at best.

Beautiful building in a wonderful location

Beautiful building in a wonderful location! The house itself was clean, spacious, well-stocked and there was an abundance of bathrooms. I especially liked the very spacious rooms. If we ever find ourselves in the area again, I'm sure we'll return!

Instructions for heating and hot water were too long/overcomplicated. We were also unable to make the fridge and freezer work, unfortunately. It would've been better if they were already working when we checked in.

Great property for a peaceful getaway

This is a beautiful property. Rooms were large. Beds were comfortable. Quiet and quaint with great views over the lake. Clean for the most part. Wi-fi worked well.

This is not a place for arachnophobes. There was an assortment of insects, dead and alive, scattered in the corners and windows. The windows could use a cleaning, even though it seemed that most of the thermal panes had failed. The microwave oven did not work, or maybe there was some hidden switch to turn it on. The shower stall in the ensuite did not drain well. So you get to stand in the waste water. There was black mold on the grout in that shower, up to about 1m/3 feet.

The view is exceptional

Everything else! It is extremely hard to find, and the staff was not able to help. There is no one on the property to help at all. We spent 2 hours looking for the place and were an hour early when we arrived. We were told we could not get the lockbox code until 3 PM ( Check-in time). We were told that text messages were sent with directions and a separate one for the code. Neither were ever received. When I called a third time, which was after check-in time, I finally received the text at 3:20 to be able to get in. The first thing we noticed was that the back door stood wide OPEN! However, we could not get a single window in the place to open. It was very hot in the house. The furniture was old, saggy, and dirty. I sat in a chair at the table. It's an old house, so there were cobwebs everywhere. My son plugged in a small fan, and it popped and burnt up! The wifi didn't work no matter what we tried, so we called for help again. We were texted a link that came up as a QR code that said it was invalid. The beds were not in good condition. We gave up, packed up the car and left. Someone finally messaged us to attempt to help us over the phone, but it was too little and too late.

Pleasant

The site, the countryside surroundings, the view on the lake is breathtaking, the building is beautiful, the location is quite good to visit Connemara region.

This place was clearly initialy crafted to be beautiful, unique, not to say luxurious, and the price is high (950Eur for 3 nights), now the way the guest experience is considered today is rather frustrating and it damaged our stay in Connemara so we cannot recommend this place. We stayed in House Nr 4, at arrival the old fridge created an impressive short circuit that triggered part of the electricity, wifi was not working with any of our Apple devices, kids room toilet flush was out of order, parent’s one leaking, there was no light for cooking, the tap of the kitchen sink was spreading water all over the place. Second day some of those issues were fixed thanks to a good phone support, now we had no hot water in the morning, system was actually set to warm between 9am to 11am only (!!), I had to modify the setting myself to get hot water. In the rooms there was nothing to put our clothes as dressing rooms are used as stores, also there was nothing to sit in parents rooms. there was only 4 chairs in the whole big house, all round the dining table. An terrasse but no outside furniture. Very cold / no decoration overall, nearly nothing on walls, no lamp apart from ceiling spots, no plant inside or outside. Outside entry carpet was falling apart in pieces. Owen buttons markings vanished but no user notice so use the owen in the blind. One Tv set with 3 remotes (why ?!), and an unusual system - no notice as well, we could not put live tv. Managers and owners of this place should spend some nights there to realize as much this place does not take onboard guest experience properly. And I travel a lot over the world and I am Genius Level 3 on Bookings and I am usually very appreciative with the places we stay.

it was a quiet location in a beautiful part of Ireland. It was spacious which was great after being in hotel rooms. the beds were very comfortable

it wasn’t as clean as I would have liked. the dishwasher seemed like it was dirty/rusty. the hot water system was different to work out with conflicting instructions on how to get it working. we had to have cold showers. the ensuite shower flooded when we did have our cold shower, which explained the layer of mould (we wore flip flops in the shower).

Great rustic location with lots of amenities

The location was so peaceful and nice. It was great waking up in the morning and walking over to see the sheep and the lake. The beds were very comfortable and there was so much space for everyone in my family to use! Highly recommend.

The house looked stunning and the views were spectacular

The house was really cold. We lit a fire and the sitting room filled with smoke. We tried to ring someone from maintenance, it was impossible to get through and when we eventually got through we were first told that the fire will smoke if there isn't enough wind, when I told him it was very windy out he then said that it was probably too windy and that's why it was smoking! He then said they are very cold houses and they state that on their website. I looked on the website after speaking with him and it didn't say that anywhere. The storage heaters did come on, but didn't heat the house very well. The storage heater in one of the bedrooms didn't work at all and this room was very cold throughout the night. I tried to ring maintenance again to ask if it was possible to get a portable electric heater, but couldn't get through. My son ended up with a head cold after our 2 night stay.

Very disappointing experience , made worse by poor handling of concern and taking responsibilty

Collection of Keys. Unfortunately the experience went downhill when the open upstairs window was discovered on a cold January evening. No help at all. There wasn't even a leaflet to describe the place.

Temperature of house & water ( FREEZING COLD) Lack of operating instruction for water heater.. o support from the team and no help offered. They did mention to move to another place late at night in the dark and poring rain without support. We clearly refused it as we were leaving the place next morning. We suffered in the cold and the smoke from the fire place and heating. Inspite of continuously reporting our issues the team members were not available and did not take responsibility.

Beautiful property in a beautiful location

Beautiful location and well equipped unit we had. Fireplace was fantastic, had the fire going for 4 days non stop. Didn't have a view of the lake although we were the only visitors to the rather big property for the 4 nights we were there. Even though we booked the 2 bedroom unit, they very well could have given us a unit with a lake view considering the other units were empty during our stay. Something to consider for the management in future. Overall had a great time in a property with much history.

Although the unit is very well equipped, a few extra touches tike a knife sharpener would be great. Knives were very blunt so cutting a roast were more like shredding it. The unit can sleep 6 pax, but would probably have been short on glasses if we had 6 adults. We were only 2 adults with 2 kids, so didn't bother us, but would definitely have been short on wine glasses etc if we had more adults. Some wall heaters didn't work. Especially the kitchen one.

Superb

Very well maintained property. The location is a little off, but great for a quiet holiday. The rooms were clean and the property had all the amenities we needed.

We requested for a baby cot, but had to follow up several times. Julia tried to make it sound like she was doing us a favour by arranging it, but we had requested for it weeks back and they had confirmed they would provide it. However, there was another person we called up and he was extremely kind and helpful. 5/5 starts for his service.

Lovely remote location. The buildings are fabulous and very spacious. Check-in and communication with the hosts were very good.

Cleanliness of the buildings could be better. Also, some of the small details were missed, the houses were cold on arrival, the freezer was switched off. There was no tea towels, some furniture needs to be replaced.

We wanted to know more about where my wife's people were from and we found that out.

The view of Lough Corrib was wonderful. We had lots of room for everyone. We had the best family time there because we were out in the country at the end of a one lane road. Glad we had the opportunity to stay there.

It could have been cleaner. There were a few things that didn't work. We never met the owners and had to figure things out on our own. The property is on the end of a one lane road. I mention this as an asset and a problem. I do like to walk and walking the lane in the morning I met some of the neighbors and they were all great.
