Wonderful stay in a peaceful and well-equipped home We had an amazing time at this beautiful house! It’s perfectly located away from other homes, so it’s very quiet and private. The outdoor area with a children’s playground and grill was a great bonus. Inside, the house is spacious and perfect for enjoying meals together. It’s fully equipped with everything we needed — we didn’t miss a thing during our stay. Jimmy and Una were always available and ready to help if needed. Highly recommend!

Happy memories for years to come of our time spent at The Yellow House

Thank you for a lovely stay at The Yellow House. It was perfect for our family holiday. Seven adults, two kids, one baby and our Cocker Spaniel Ruby. We all fitted comfortably. We felt right at home. Beautiful big dining room table, comfy couches to sit on, we wanted for nothing. Our host Jimmy was so helpful and gave us brilliant suggestions about things to do and see. We really enjoyed coming back after a day of sightseeing and lighting the fire each evening. The kids had great fun and danced and sang in the big hall. It is such a great house for family get togethers. We have made very happy memories for years to come and will always have very happy ones of our time spent together in the Yellow House. I would 100% recommend staying here and if we are in the area again we will be back. Thanks again.

Great Value, Friendly Host, and Lots of Space...

Spacious and well equipped, so if you are travelling as a large group, this house comes highly recommended. Given the location, serves as a good base for Castlebar or the general Galway/Westport area. Jimmy was a great host, and promptly handled any requests/queries, and was even very pro-active with suggestions for things to do/see in the local area. Fireplace was set on arrival, which acted as a welcoming touch. We travelled here during Ireland's colder months, but the garden and surrounding areas are well kept, so for the summer months guests will have use of an attractive surrounds/garden too.

The Yellow House

We loved our stay in the Yellow House, the house is super spacious, clean and very comfortable and had plenty of room for a large family, within 10 minutes to westport and castlebar, with a beautiful village of Aghgower nearby with a small shop and a lovely playground. The location was perfect for us as we were close to our family living nearby. Jimmy and Una were great hosts and kept intoch during our stay.

A really lovely well equipped house, everything you could need. Jimmy was very helpful and kept the house lovely and warm. The recommendation of the playground in Aughagower was much appreciated to run some energy off the kids after a long journey down. The smart TV with Netflix was great for the kids.

Property is short drive from Westport, short walk to hotel bar down a small county lane (literally 5-10 mins) and close to croagh Patrick. House is perfect for 3 couples or large family. There are two rooms en-suite upstairs and a beautiful downstairs bathroom. Total of 5 bedrooms with 8 beds and a cot in one room. The views from house are beautiful country views with horses, donkeys and cows ! A fox was also spotted which kids loved. Large kitchen, great dining area for group or family meals and really nice tv lounging area. A+ on everything, we couldn’t have hoped for more and our host Jimmy was fantastic.
