Disappointing experience for the new year getaway

The location was nice, the rooms were big and checkin was easy.

There were no basic amenities. No toiletries, no bath mat, no oil, salt, pepper, coffe, tea, etc. We booked the accommodation for 8 people and i was hoping the sofa beds mentioned would be somewhat comfortable, but the sofa bed mattress was really bad and dirty. We couldn't sleep on it so we used the other sofa bed and slept two on it. Our dad even fell in the bath tub since it was very slippery and no bath mat was provided. There were no floor mats provided either for the bathroom. So the bathroom floor was all wet and slippery too. The blankets and duvet for the sofabeds weren't very clean and ready to use either. And no extra bedding were available. One night there was no hot water in the shower either. The floor heating in one bathroom was also not working. We stayed there 2 years ago so we were looking forward to staying there again but this time had a bad experience. Rooms were not up to the mark.

Fabulous apartment!

Apartment was very spacious and clean. 3 large rooms, two of which were en suite then another bathroom as well. Large living area with small kitchen and plenty of sofas! Central location with plenty of beaches within driving distance.

We had to go out and buy basic things like salt & pepper, oil and bin bags. Even scrubbers to wash up. The fridge was too small for a family of 5. These were minor things really.

Everything was as advertised, apartment was comfortable and roomy for 4 people. But the wifi......

Wi Fi useless. I was counting on it for planning and directions. Most of the time it would not even show up as available. When I did connect it was too slow to load anything, then it would drop out.

Location excellent, good views, looking out at a nice walkway that has been created. Ballyshannon is an excellent town for music, meeting friends and this weekend didnt disappoint we had a wonderful time.

Totally disappointing

The balcony overlooking the river

Our water was freezing cold or at one point was scalding hot. The water was eventually fixed on our 2nd last day. It was the hottest weekend of the year and no warm water for showers and at one stage no water at all!

A fantastic time had by all, we can’t wait to go back to this superb apartment.

The property was so spacious for our family of 5. Lots of room, 2 showers and a bath, all the facilities you would need to accommodate kids and adults. It was also spotless, clean towels left, dishcloths, dishwasher tablets etc so thoughtful. Private parking, lifts right to the door. Superb property.

Flat with a lovely view

It is a fantastic little flat in the center of Ballyshannon, with a fantastic view of trees, the garden and a river. It is south facing with a lovely big window and is modern and comfortable. Just the right size too for two people. Not too big, not too small.

Good stay with some small improvements could be great

Spacious flat in a good location.

The kitchen wasn’t particularly well equipped. For example only one wine glass and it was tired in places , with loose lampshades and the carpets were grubby and stained in places. The sofa bed is only good for one very light person as the mattress needs replacing.

I really liked the river view. The apartment was nice and spacious. I would stay again and I would recommend it to family and friends. It was good value for money. I really liked the town of Ballyshannon. The people were very friendly. It was very close to Bundoran but with a more relaxed vibe. It felt safe and easy to navigate. It was a good base for us traveling with two children.

I would like a mirror in the bedrooms.

The sofa bed should be replaced. It’s very dated and uncomfortable. It’s also difficult to put up and down. The double bed was very comfy but there were 3 of us and so one of us did not get a good nights sleep.

Apartment was suppose to sleep 5 but unfortunately the sofa bed mattress was just a ball of springs, so uncomfortable that we had to set up a bed made up with left over pillows and cot mattress on ground. This really needs to be addressed.

Absolutely fantastic! In every way! Can’t wait to go back!

Everything was brilliant, the size of the apartment, (we were in a three bedroom one), we weren’t on top of one another! The views, the lack of noise, the beds were very comfortable and large. Cannot fault it!

The only issue if I was to say any, was the internet connection. It didn’t overly bother me as I don’t really need it, but for someone who maybe does want it, it may be frustrating.
