D'Autor Apartments Alegria

The apartment was beautifully restored and really well kept, spotless from the moment I walked in, with a lot of character in the details. The location was great too, I was traveling alone and explored quite a few different spots around Porto, and getting around from here on foot was easy every time. What really stood out though was Dina, who takes care of breakfast. She has this way of welcoming guests that feels genuine, not just polite small talk. She takes real care in making sure you feel looked after, remembers little things about you, and her cakes were fantastic on top of that. She actually remembered me from my first stay here, which says a lot about how much attention she pays to guests. It’s the kind of thing that makes a stay memorable long after you forget the small details of the room. This was my second stay and I’m already thinking about a third.

Nothing worth mentioning, everything ran smoothly.

Absolutely delightful stay! In all respect. Location was very convenient (few steps from the Market of Bolhao and all center attractions) + wonderful rooms, spacious, elegant and cozy beds + amazing breakfast in the morning with super super kind staff. We spent the weekend with our kids and going "back home to our b&B" was one of the highlights of the holidays! And that means a lot. A LOT

Rooms are little noisy because of the proximity of the street. Very little to do but it's a fact.

Breakfast was awesome. The employees were all so nice and accomodating.

Didn't like the awkward staircase up to one of the bedrooms.

We stayed at D’Autor Apartments and overall had a good experience. The location is excellent — close to everything — and the apartment itself was beautiful: modern, clean, open, and filled with natural light. The living space was very comfortable and felt welcoming. Breakfast was okay — decent but nothing special — though it was nice to have it included. Dina, who checked us in, was lovely and very helpful with information about the area.

There were a few things that could be improved. The Wi-Fi unfortunately did not work the majority of the time, which was difficult for us as international travelers with limited data. The bathroom was quite small, and the shower design (no door) caused water to leak out toward the toilet area — it’s a modern look, but the floor could use a better slope to keep the water contained. Check-in was also a bit confusing — there’s no reception, and although the email said we’d receive a door code on the day of arrival, we never did and had to call to get it. The kitchen appliances were tricky to figure out, and the provided instructions weren’t very clear. Lastly, the elevator was so slow that we mostly avoided using it.
