Our stay was overall great. There were
Some cleanliness issues upon arrival.. which I understand with a large beach house. Mostly dog hair, stains on furniture (older)
Crumbs and bugs on stairs. Some trash out by pool. We cleaned some and called back to office and they came back. The refrigerator door is broken and if you do not know it, your food inside will not stay cold. We were able to rig the door to close for us for the week. Also, the outdoor speakers do not work and need replaced, per maintenance. Overall, the state was and the management was very kind and supportive. House had very nice supplies in the kitchen, top notch and cleanly stored. Beds were comfy and house was decorated nicely. Pool and Hot Tub were great. Having porches on East and West of house was very nice for having views in shade as it was very hot. Was not aware of how close the 11th hole of the golf course was to the house. Received many golf balls on decks and by our cars. One of our cars was hit twice and left dents. On East (Hwy.) side of the house...much car noise.
House was not as clean as described by other guests. Furniture was dusty , top floor smelled like greasy food (Seems it may have been spilled on carpet going up the stairs) and glass doors were not cleaned from previous guests. Dog nose prints very visible. . Reviews were accurate about beach access. Best to drive and park in public beach parking spots. Plenty in neighborhood across the highway. Highway very busy and difficult to cross by foot. Be aware that the house is on a one way drive. Enter by the Caldwell Bank and exit other side. Was tricky the first night in the dark. We called on Monday to have a shower drain cleaned out and it was never done while there and no call from house managers to follow up. Overall the house was nice. Much that the owner could not have control over. Maybe sign of the times with little staff to clean and do maintenance.
