Amalia's House

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt in Amalia's House. Es hat alles was man braucht und es ist wunderbar ruhig dort. Die Aussicht ist einfach atemberaubend schön! Der Weg von der Straße runter zum Haus ist zwar lang und vorallem mit Gepäck nicht gerade einfach, aber dafür steht das Haus in einer tollen Lage und wieder nach oben trainiert es jeden Tag den Körper. Wir würden definitiv wieder kommen!

Das Bett war ein bisschen hart, aber das ist Geschmackssache

Déco un peu froide... deuxième chambre en entre sol. Prix un peu élevé pour du hors saison.... la vue ne fait pas tout.

Amalia's House is really tucked away. From the local road, which is 15 minutes walk from the village, there are steep paths and steps to the house. The views are literally breathtaking. The house is basic, but with everything you need for a stay. And Charis very kindly lent me a yoga mat when the one I had ordered online failed to arrive. Our day started with yoga, then breakfast on the balcony. We then walked through the private and beautiful woods to Rovinia beach. I hadn't realised it, but it had got Instagram fame, so you found a lot of young people posing for photos or selfies! We swam, snorkled a little and read on the beach, until midday when we walked back up to our beautiful and secluded balcony for lunch. Then repeated late afternoon. As others have said the paths are not suitable for everyone, but we both got fitter climbing up and down. And having read about the beds, we slept in the main bedroom which was so comfortable and had aircon which we had to use as it was so hot at night. We hired a car for 36 hours, which meant we could fo a big shop (there is a large fridge with a small freezer section. But decided we would walk the rest of the time. We'd definitely return.

The view from the terrace was fantastic. The property was in a peaceful location but just a quick (10 min) walk to shops & restaurants. You get the entire property to yourself.

Anyone with impaired mobility would find access difficult - it is a steep path from the parking to the house.
