Nafplia Terra

It was quiet, well taken care of and the staff very professional.

It was a bit far from the town but the property is beautiful and quiet.

We really enjoyed our stay at Nafplia Terra. The room was excellent, very clean, comfortable, and clearly well cared for. The staff was very friendly, and we appreciated all the small details that made our stay special. The breakfast was also very nice and a great way to start the day. The location is quiet and peaceful, a little outside the center, but only a 2-minute drive from the parking area for Nafplio, so visiting the town was very easy. It was exactly what we were looking for and we would happily stay here again.

The property inside and out is immaculate. There are beautiful olive trees, rosemary and sage bushes, lime trees, and blackberry bushes around the building. Terrace has drying rack for swim clothes etc. and a beautiful view. The daily fresh squeezed orange juice from locally grown fruit is a real treat. The location is an easy drive into town with free parking available. Also, it is easy to drive to the beach or archeological sites from this side of town.

The shower is not fully enclosed so one must be careful to position the water spout so water does not go all over and under the sink area. Breakfast eggs and cooked vegetables were room temperature or even cold. Not sure if this is a cultural difference but we prefer hot cooked eggs. There so many other delicious choices for breakfast if you don’t like the eggs. (Cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, cheese and cold cuts, cakes and pastries etc.😊)

The owners were helpful, friendly, generous; professional and caring hosts. The staff created a calm and happy atmosphere. The hotel was clean, the room and shower room was very clean. The building was particularly well designed and the interior decor was discerning and calming- more than meeting our expectations. The beds/sofas were very,very comfortable ! It was possible to sleep well at night because the air conditioning hardly made a sound and very little noise transmitted through this well designed building. This guesthouse was sufficiently out of town to be surrounded by olive groves and there was an expansive view across the valley from the balcony yet it was only a minutes drive into town. We found daily parking in town was starightforward and free. Park down at the port and its a short walk into town. The Hotel had several bonuses, good breakfast;- pastries, cooked eggs,sausage,bacon, cereals fruit etc.. Little slippers, good aircon, fluffy towels, netfics tv, good housekeeping, parking at hotel, easy access into Nafplio. Owners recommended good restaurants in town and beaches. We ate out, sampling a variety of restaurants in Nafplio. Napflia Terra was also just a couple of kilometers from a lovely bathing beach/bay called Karathona. We went to Tolo beach which is very busy- long busy beach and lots of tavernas but too busy really. It was easy to drive to ancient Corinth, Mycenae, and Epidavros, as day trips, on some excellent modern roads. We also explored Argos which is very quiet but had welcoming cafes in the centre. We recommend a day trip to Spetses and Hydra. As a couple who prefer to anchor ourselves around one base from which to explore at our own pace, we felt Nafplia Terra was a pretty good choice.
