Relaxing home from home

Stayed at this location before. This chalet was a lot better so comfortable everything you would need was available for you . Chalet was very clean and warm on arrival will definitely return . Only thing I would ask for was large towels ,as I didn't bring my own and there were only hand towels provided

Relaxing break

Everything a rental needs for a short break near the beach. Kitchen in living area.. so can all be together all the time. Surprisingly good noise insulation between walls. Shop 100 metres away. Very convenient for last minute shop. In fact we bought an evening meal here. Bits and bobs. Yes kudos to the shop… very clean and up together… Spacious bathroom and walk in shower.. Parking space, just outside. Pretty much everything a kitchen needs to self cater, plus fridge and freezer. Yes loved it… not top spec.. but that makes it easy to relax

Nothing really.. just a few niggles… tv could be lower in living room. Would have liked some blinds on front window.. Venetian or similar to give bit more privacy Some more greenery on the site to brighten. Plants in planters. I guess that’s a facility management task Maybe a shoe rack in cupboard . Yes all in all very cute little rental…

Nice stay

Vicinity to Rhossili bay and Oxwhich beach. Nice and spacious for families

The property was very tidy and it is obvious someone takes care of rubbish, bedding etc. However some things are in great need of deep cleaning like sofas, cushions, cupboard handles. Handles were sticky and couldnt touch, couldnt seat on the sofa or touch cushions as probably hasnt been cleaned for a very long time.

Great place for literally anyone to stay!

Absolutely everything was perfect, the reason my score was so high is because I've seen the other reviews and they don't do this place justice It was a stunning area, everyone you talk to was so friendly, any questions or anything I needed the owner was more than happy to answer We had everything we could possibly need right there in the house, cutlery, plates, pots, pans, tinfoil, extra toilet paper If your looking for a great place for your family or just to get away for a week this place is perfect. Absolutely no complaints, will definitely be coming back as soon as we can! 10/10!

Lovely comfy bed and nice stay, great location for surfing

Comfortable and Everything we needed.

When we walked into the property we were greeted with a sofa that was stained with snail trails. Wasn’t very pleasant. The pool and jacuzzi areas were closed and looked like a bomb site. Disappointed as we had planned on swimming and it was not advertised that everything was closed.

Wonderful short break at Gower Holiday Village

Very clean comfortable well-equipped chalet / bungalow in a good location for visiting the beautiful beaches around the Gower peninsula. Rhossili, Port Eynon and Oxwich bays just a short drive away. Food shop on site open every day 7am - 9pm. Good communication from owners.

Unfortunately the on site swimming pool was closed during our stay due to repairs.

owners are helpful I parked early and left my car after check out, the shop and seasonal fish shop at entrance to site were handy. nearest beach was a short run away.

the soundproofing wasn't great and the really soft mattress didn't suit me. no free wifi and the pool doesn't look like it'll be open any time soon.

Brilliant base for exploring the Gower

Was a little cold when we arrived but soon warmed up , clean and tidy and everything you will need .

Lovely weekend in the gorgeous Gower Peninsular

Key safe was convenient and host picked up the phone when i called. Didn't get the arrival instructions from booking.com until after i had left on the journey, hence i had to call the host to ask how to access the property, but he was very helpful. The pool was great - clean, warm and well maintained. The property itself was ideal - comfortable and roomy and ideal for the three of us.

Great location not too far from beaches, quite roomy property

As an arthritis sufferer I found the bed a little low. But that’s not the fault of the property.

Home from home

The size of the property was perfect there were 5 adults altogether and we didn't feel like we were falling over each other. There were chairs to take to the beach, sandwich bags for a packed lunch, washing up liquid, linen pretty much everything you could think of. The corner shop had the essentials we needed and the location was great for walks and local beaches. One of us staying sometimes needs a wheelchair due to poor mobility. The steps to get into the property were a perfect height for them to access the property and found moving around the property easy. The beds were really comfy.

Honestly nothing, if I was to be really picky the table was a bit sticky we tried different cleaners to resolve this but didn't want to scrub and damage the wood. It would have also been ideal to have a sofa bed but we managed perfectly fine without. Again these are points to be really picky. Nothing that would stop us from going again as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Ready made home from home

Organising our stay was very easy, the cottage was well appointed, comfortable and cosy. Check in and out very convenient. Peaceful atmosphere. I loved it and am keen to visit again. Thank you!

Exploring the delights of Gower by bus & on foot.

The accommodation was clean, comfortable, safe & in a quiet location & had everything you could possibly wish for. Like home from home but without the Washing machine ( but the site has a laundrette), plus indoor pool, Jacuzzi & games room.

Nothing really but if you don't use your own transport, you would need to plan your trips a little bit more carefully & in advance. Bus services are quite frequent between Rhossilli & Swansea at 50min to 1hr 25min intervals. Services to/ from Horton & Port Eynon are served by these services, either in the outward or return directions or by a connecting bus from North Gower, which stops near the junction a couple of hundred yards away. Timetable info can be obtained from Traveline Cymru's dedicated phone line or website. However, mobile phone reception & internet is very patchy! For older people, the beds are rather low! :-)

We enjoyed the lovely chalet very spacious and comfortable the bed was so comfortable. It was lovely and quiet, kids enjoyed the swimming and little park area chip shop was amazing little shop was well stocked and had everything we needed. John was more than welcoming and very helpful. Thank you

Excellent all round!!

As a fairly new blended family of 5, we had the best time ! It was so refreshing to see the little touches in place, such as dvd's, board games, first aid kits(of which we needed), washing up liquid and other essentials for when we arrived as in the past at other stays this hasn't been provided. With the wet weather and 3 children that had arrived very tired from holidays with other parents some chill time was very much appreciated. The pool and park were brilliant for the times we wanted to burn off some energy. Being so close to Rhossili and worms head was great for a rock pool and beach adventure, too. Great communication with the host on the lead up to our stay along with during and after. Thank you, John and Alie, we will be back. 😁

If I was being really critical, I would say some bigger towels, as our pool towels were already wet from the pool. Not a bad size for kids, but couldn't wrap around us adults once.

My fault but I missed the bit in the description about there being hand towels only, no bath towels. Showering was fun with one little hand towel each ☹️ It was also really cold when we arrived (mid November) & the individual heaters took quite a while to warm the place up.

A great little home from home, everything we needed, hosts very helpful and facilities on site great. The beaches close by are gorgeous!
