Light-flooded holiday apartment with a large balcony and a beautiful view

We rent our beautiful apartment in Callantsoog. In addition to the cozy and high-quality furnishings, the apartment impresses with its close proximity to the beach (approx. 500 meters) and the city center (approx. 750 meters). In addition, the large, sunny south-facing balcony offers a wonderful view.
The light-flooded living room with a large window front, couch, two armchairs, TV (flat screen) and stereo system offers plenty of comfort to linger.
The apartment has a full kitchen with 4 hot plates, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, orange press etc.
The spacious bedroom has a double bed (two 80 cm mattresses), a large wardrobe and additional storage space.
The well-kept bathroom offers a shower, toilet, sink.
The apartment is located on the top floor (3rd floor) of the building attached to a hotel, which means that the amenities of the hotel (restaurant, including breakfast) can be used for a fee.

There are sufficient free parking spaces and a lockable bicycle storage room right next to the apartment complex. Bicycles can be rented in the adjacent Badhotel and in town.
The hotel restaurant is available with good cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In sunny weather, however, it is advisable to have breakfast on the balcony equipped with comfortable chairs and a table and to enjoy the open sky.

The place:

Callantsoog is a cozy little village and former fishing village on the Dutch west coast, in the municipality of Schagen - province of North Holland. With around 2500 inhabitants, Callantsoog is small enough to retain its cozy charm, yet large enough to offer everything you need with numerous shops, restaurants and cafes.
The opening times of the extensive supermarket are particularly pleasant (365 days, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.).

The beach:

The closest beach entrance to the apartment is directly on Abbestederweg, approx. 500 meters from the apartment parking lot. There are three other beach steps in and behind the town center. The extremely wide and clean sandy beach stretches for many kilometers in both directions. Restaurants directly on the beach (beach pavilions) offer a wonderful view of the sea and invite you to take a break all year round. Here you can get everything from a refreshing drink to a small snack in between to a complete lunch / dinner.

The “Zwanenwater” nature reserve is located directly adjacent to the town. Visitors can observe the untouched flora and fauna of North Holland on 550 hectares of dunes, marshes, forests and lakes and hike on marked trails. The numerous bird species in particular attract visitors from everywhere.

The sports offer is also extensive with swimming, hiking, jogging, horse riding, tennis, squash, cycling, fishing, soccer and much more.

The surrounding area:

Approximately The port city of Den Helder is 15 kilometers north of Callantsoog. In addition to the large marine and fishing ports, the naval museum and submarine can be visited here. Den Helder is also a ferry port for trips to the beautiful island of Texel.
In the south, about 20 kilometers away is Alkmaar. This beautiful old Dutch town with its canals, small streets and quaint shops is always worth a visit. The Alkmaar cheese market is known far beyond the borders of Holland.
Egmond, Bergen an Zee and Schagen are other beautiful places in the immediate vicinity of Callantsoog.
