We really enjoyed staying here! This beautiful, very old townhouse, spread over three floors, has a charming rustic Spanish character that made our stay special. Its authentic features gave the house a unique and cosy atmosphere.
just a short walk to shops, supermarkets, and a great selection of restaurants. It was the perfect base for exploring the area while enjoying the comfort of a traditional Spanish home.
The property is located on a very busy square that gets especially lively at night due to the nearby restaurants. We stayed here in July - August 2025, and the area was extremely busy, particularly at night. We stayed in the front bedroom because the second bedroom only had a fan and no air conditioning.
Being right next to the church meant there was always a lot of activity, with frequent festivals and gatherings in the square in front of the house. At times, the crowds were so large that it was difficult to leave the property during these events.
If you’re sensitive to noise or large crowds, it’s a good idea to check the local festival schedule before booking, as there were fireworks and celebrations starting as early as 7:30 am! 😄
That being said, i would gladly stay again in this house it was beautiful.

La ubicacion es excelente. Hay que tomar en cuenta que es un alojamiento en el centro de Calpe, por lo que tienes que estacionar en un parking gratuito cercano. Restaurantes, playas y vistas lindas cerca. La playa queda a unos 10 minutos andando, son subidas y bajadas asi que mucha resistencia; pero merece la pena.

The accommodation is in the heart of the old town overlooking a lovely square. It is spacious. Has a nice bathroom and fully equipped kitchen.
The stairs are very steep and one is very dangerous which comes directly off the bedrooms. I don’t know how we didn’t have an accident.
There was no spare towels or bed linen for the 5 of us. I had to keep washing the 5 towels we were given for 9 nights stay.
The electricity kept cutting off which was thought to be connected to the recently installed AC unit.
I presume this has now been rectified ready for the next visitors.
We had an ant infestation in the last 2 days which caused us all (family of 5) to sleep upstairs in the sitting room on the sofas bed and floor.
That wasn’t a pleasant end to our holiday and very disappointed that even though we informed the owner of all the issues, she made no attempt at a proper apology for the inconveniences we had, including twice having the AC man out who also arrived an hour late.
We were on our holiday and even though we are aware that issues can arise as things do happen, we do however expect to have had better communication from the owner and even an offer of a partial refund would have been a decent thing to do. Nevertheless we had left the property in excellent condition.
