The summer house is behind the house and has its own entrance.
A hall in which the 2 bedroom doors are located and an access to the luxury bathroom.
The stairs go to the top floor where the living room-kitchen is located and the outside terrace is equipped with furniture. No sea view but wonderfully quiet.
The living room has cable TV with all German channels and the kitchen is fully equipped.

First of all, don't worry if the hosts don't answer immediately. But it would have been appreciated if the details of the check-in (just show up to their address and get the key) would have been communicated a few days earlier.
But the appartment itself is really cosy and practical. The two bedrooms are downstairs and the combined living room and kitchen upstairs. Everything was clean and in good working condition. A balcony is available as well.
Everything one could need is in walking distance. The beach (really close!), restaurants, a supermarket and various shops. South of Egmond aan Zee is a nature reservation if you want to go hiking. And of course bike paths are available everywhere.
Alkmaar is 20 minutes away by car, if you want to visit a "real" city.
Overall it was a pretty much perfect holiday there.

We loved this darling town. The house was lovely and in a fun area.

A very nice town and a lot to visit during one weekend. The parking regulations are strange.
