B&B MIKAWA - Kanazawa Fish Harbour

The place is very pleasant and the check-in service was very good. The building is a bit far to walk from the train station with luggage; luckily, the attendant gave us a ride to the location. There is an air-conditioned common room combined with the kitchen. Although we didn't prepare food there, I believe it would be fully equipped for cooking. The breakfast was good, with coffee from a machine that grinds the beans fresh and a toaster to toast the bread. They made bicycles available for us to use, but we didn't have time to explore Mikawa further

The ryokan-style room could have had futons instead of modern mattresses. The distance from the station to the accommodation makes it a bit complicated when you have large luggage. There are few affordable restaurants nearby, and they required reservations. The wifi signal in the room was weak and disconnection was frequently.

Extended here an extra night because it was so lovely

Can’t recommend this enough. Really beautiful and calm area. Bikes, onsen access, and breakfast all for free. Staff were super kind and helpful. Would love to come back

Amazing experience

Great place to stay to get away from the busy city stay. The hosts were great and helped us book restaurants and gave suggestions on what to see and do. Loved the bikes to get around too. The rooms were traditionally Japanese. The breakfast was basic, but a perfect start to the day. Nice shared lounge area for guests with games and books.

I had thought it was going to be a place with the hosts on site, but they have several b&bs across the town where they rent out rooms with a shared space for guests in the lounge/ kitchen area. It wasnt that I didn't like it, just wasnt what I had expected. Apparently this is common in Japan B&Bs.
