B&B MIKAWA - Kanazawa Fish Harbour

We absolutely loved our stay at B&B Mikawa! The room was hugh and we loved sleeping in a traditional ryokan and actually had the best sleep in all our Japan journey! They provided everything you need including a nice breakfast and different card and board games. Be sure to get recommendations for restaurants as well as they are a wholesome experience like sakae sushi or the chicken restaurant opposite from the Mikawa station. Check out la boussole cafe as well, their sweet treats are delicious and their staff is super friendly! It was a warm and lovely stay and we would love to come back again! Such a nice little quiet town and you only need 20min via train to Kanazawa for exploring old samurai villages and more. :)

Breakfast was simple but good. It a lot to do in town but people were welcoming

Food was somewhat bland. Had a great meal in town

Simple brekkie but very comfortable room with large common area stocked with games and activities. The free bikes were also a very pleasant surprise that allowed us to explore the local area. The bikes have seen better days and were a little rusty, but rode well and had no issues other than that.

The place is very pleasant and the check-in service was very good. The building is a bit far to walk from the train station with luggage; luckily, the attendant gave us a ride to the location. There is an air-conditioned common room combined with the kitchen. Although we didn't prepare food there, I believe it would be fully equipped for cooking. The breakfast was good, with coffee from a machine that grinds the beans fresh and a toaster to toast the bread. They made bicycles available for us to use, but we didn't have time to explore Mikawa further

The ryokan-style room could have had futons instead of modern mattresses. The distance from the station to the accommodation makes it a bit complicated when you have large luggage. There are few affordable restaurants nearby, and they required reservations. The wifi signal in the room was weak and disconnection was frequently.
