Lambuth Inn

I like the historical charm of the building. The front desk and cleaning staff were friendly. The location is good. I like the little trail in the back and the walkability around the lake. The water pressure and heat in the shower was refreshing.

I feel like our experience didn’t match what we saw online. There were no activities in the hotel, it actually felt a bit like a ghost town. I’m surprised there wasn’t any food offered. For the size of the property, the price we paid, and especially according to the mission statement of the property, hospitality should include food. There are not many dining options within walking distance and especially depending on timing or day, they may not be actual options. The bed sadly wasn’t very comfortable. The bathroom was very tiny.

Nice renovations since the last time I visited.

Nothing

Staff was extremely nice. Cleanliness was good.

My room was supposed to be smoke free, but upon entrance, every time, I smelled an old smoking odor. Also, at the price I paid, the room was small. And...I had no refrigerator and the microwave was community. When I inquired about at least a refrigerator, I was told I would've had to let them know I needed one when I made my reservations. What?

The lake was pretty

We had no idea that this is a religious retreat. The place was packed with kids at some camp. Our room was not a nice hotel room but more like a dorm room. We got no housekeeping while we were there, why? We paid $250 a night for a camp room like a little kid? The rooms are super small, and very dated. The lobby smells like an old persons home or a nursing home. We had a view of the back of the hotel. Not a lake view….i guess those were reserved for campers? No food at the hotel either.
