Our Happy Place

This is our second time of staying at Origins and we love everything about it. From the moment you walk through the entrance you feel relaxed in this unique property. The rooms are beautifully presented, we love the indoor / outdoor layout, the beds are super comfortable, the gardens are well maintained and the overall experience is simply wonderful. The breakfast is delicious and sets you up for the day ahead. The staff are amazing, they are welcoming and offer the personal touch you don’t find in big hotels. Nothings is too much trouble and the communication is perfect. They assisted with hiring scooters and arranging the best massage we’ve had while travelling Bali (we highly recommend the massage, it might be more than you will pay in the village but it’s well worth it). Thanks again to the team at Origin you are all amazing and made our stay so special.

Hands down our best stay this trip.

We loved the warm and welcoming staff. The room was massive and had air-conditioning, everything was clean and the whole vibe was probably one of the reasons why this is our top location for this trip. The shampoo was great, the light mosquito coils at night as well for your accommodation and then nothing is too much trouble. The staff are really great here.

That we left early and could not have a superb breakfast. However even then the staff prepared a cold sandwich and nice juice for us.

Would highly recommend to anyone it’s an amazing oasis in the middle of Uluwatu

I loved everything about this experience from start to finish. Our stay was absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were taken care of so well by the hotel staff, who were extremely friendly and always happy to help with anything we needed. Mornings were a treat—starting the day with a delicious breakfast overlooking the pool, surrounded by trees and beautiful scenery, was pure bliss. Evenings were just as magical, with a cozy bonfire where you could roast marshmallows and watch lanterns glowing in the trees. It felt like stepping into a fairytale. The rooms were equally impressive—super comfortable beds, a large smart TV, and an overall cozy, homelike feel that made it the perfect retreat. The bathroom and dining table were outdoors, but beautifully designed for comfort and privacy. I especially appreciated the mosquito incense provided in the evenings, which made the indoor–outdoor living setup with its own private garden both practical and enchanting. Stepping out of our garden into the hotel’s stunning grounds felt like entering a peaceful oasis. I also loved the yoga classes held twice a week in their gorgeous yoga chalet, led by a fantastic instructor—such a wonderful way to start the day. I will definitely be coming back here and would recommend this hotel to absolutely anyone looking for a truly relaxing, beautiful, and memorable getaway.

Amazing stay - shame about the growing lack of privacy

The tent itself was really big and spacious, well designed and comfortable! Staff were lovely. Main pool was a good size and the facilities are great. Staff were lovely :)

It’s such a shame about the building works. Not necessarily the noise, but the privacy has gone. I did not feel comfortable sunbathing as the builders could see right over (and were looking)! As I was the front tent, it actually meant they could see into my bathroom!!!! Genuinely had to get dressed as soon as I was out the shower, as bathroom is completely open, which also meant it was so hot when trying to get ready. Perhaps a mirror in the main room would be better to help with this?

Everything, this place exceeded all expectations. It was so much bigger than any of the pictures showed. What an amazing breakfast and the staff were simply the best. We had a few requests and they did everything they could to help. Could not ask for more

Great stay with minor issues

Unique stay, comfy beds, outdoor pool, 6:00pm bonfire with marshmellow. The room was convenient for 2 people and spacious..

Construction work going on opposite the hotel where the noise is throughout the day. The internet is so weak which needs improvement. The TV remote and water dispenser wasnt working properly had to report to the concierge after we checked in.

Everything!! Everyone at the Origin was so friendly and welcoming, you felt like part of their family straight away which was reassuring as a solo traveller. I love that everything was outside, the tents are huge and beautiful and you feel very safe.

The hotel is the best hotel we have ever stayed in! All the staff went over and above board to make us feel welcome and at home! We can not recommend this hotel high enough. 100% we will be back. Even if we needed any additional help Yudi or Celline would help us straight away, whether it’s booking a taxi or getting us tickets for a night out. OUTSTANDING SERVICE!

Wonderful stay in Uluwatu

The place is just super beautiful, spacious and the clamping is very luxurious and stylish. The outdoor bathroom is big and we loved the design and to have nature around us. The breakfast was very good, too. Every house is private, which makes you feel like you have the place for yourself. What stood out to us is the amazing friendly staff: Everybody went out of their way to make us feel at home, helped with everything and we couldn't have wished for more. Every extra wish was taken care of in minutes. It is also a nice place if you travel with kids. There is a little construction noise around at the moment during daytime, but nothing too close and anyway, it is Uluwatu. So that's everywhere. 😉 Easy walk to the main road where you have nice restaurants and shops. Laundry always came the next day. What we definitely recommend is to get a massage in your room, while you are there. Origin is working with a Spa from Uluwatu and the massages where the best we had during our 5 weeks in Bali. We will definitely come back!

Spaious and intimate accomodation

We recently stayed at Origin Uluwatu and found it to be a mixed bag of delights and challenges. The garden is a lush paradise, creating a serene atmosphere that invites relaxation. The spacious accommodation impressed us with ample room to unwind, complemented by a lovely private pool that was the highlight of our stay. The location of Origin Uluwatu is quite convenient, with easy access to the beach via a quick Grab ride. Culinary-wise, the food met our expectations with tasty offerings, and the variety of breakfast options provided a great start to each day. The team at Origin Uluwatu are commendable — a group of good lads who were always willing to assist. With some attention to pest control and a stricter cleaning regimen in the communal areas, I believe Origin Uluwatu could truly be an exceptional place to stay. I would still recommend it to those looking for spacious, private accommodations in Uluwatu.

However, we encountered an issue with mosquitoes that seemed more prevalent here than at other places we've stayed during our month in Bali. Additionally, while our room was clean and well-maintained, we found the cleanliness in the dining area to be lacking and in need of improvement.

Great stay, spacious setup with exceptional staff!

The Origin team ensured we had a great experience during our stay. They went out of their way to accommodate our little one, preparing special meals and even arranging an infant helmet. The overall setup is very spacious and green. We had a garden tent with pool was very nice; it provided a private space to relax and take a dip when we wanted.

Having a private pool did mean there were some mosquitos around. The team tried to manage this well as part of the turn-down service. Breakfast options were sufficient and varied, but simple. Coffee was great!

Excellent retreat!! It felt like home..

We just loved the minute we walked in. We were welcomed by the staff with a refreshing drink to help with the heat of the day. The common areas were very spacious and well looked after. The pool and the fire pit were the stars for our children. They could roast marshmallows at sunset. The family “tent” was impressive, we enjoyed our own private pool, the main room was very big, with a king size bed very comfortable. The second room was good in size perfect for our 2 little kids, who enjoyed having their own tv and private bathroom. The staff is amazing, really care about their customers, very knowledgeable about the area (where to go, restaurants, beach..) even keeping us updated about traffic conditions on the day of our departure, making sure we will get to the airport on time.

There is a bit of construction around the area which can get a bit noisy. The hotel offers earplugs to help manage, although we didn’t need them and didn’t bother us too much.

The best place to stay in Uluwatu

As soon as we entered Origin we were amazed! What a place! Great and fresh breakfast area with a pool and nature view. The pool was big and with hot water, perfect for a dive after the sunset! And it’s also a very chilled area, they light a very pit next to the pool everyday after sunset time, where you have a sitting area with confy sofas… what a vibe! We stayed at Tent no. 3 and it was perfect! Very big private place with a garden with daybeds and table&chairs area surrounding the tent. Very confy bed with a brand new Samsung smart tv in the main room, that flows to the inside/outside area where you’ll find a mix between a bathroom and a walking closet - there’s also a bathtub in the back garden! They also provide a mini fridge, snacks and filtered cold water (only the water is free, of course). The location is 5min (scooter or car) from the main restaurants street and you’re also a short drive distance from some of the best beaches in Uluwatu. Our final words goes to Hangga - GSM, a very nice guy that you can have a nice chat with! Provided a lot of good info not only about the place and Uluwatu, but also shared some tips about other Bali destinations. 10/10 for Hangga!

we loved the staff, the people where so friendly the friendliest we met during our 6 weeks travel in indonesia. It felt so good, it was a pleasure everyday to wake up and enjoy the facilities. The breakfast was excellent and included in our price so really a pleasure. The location is also really great, we rented two scooters for the 4 of us, and in 5, maximum 10 minutes we could reach all the places of interest around Uluwatu. Really a pleasure.

It is a bit pricy, but the place is great. And that we couldn't stay longer of course.

Absolutely amazing place with incredible staff, a must stay!

We had the most fantastic stay at Origin which completely exceeded our expectations. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly (and even hooked me up with a free seat change on my return flight home!), the tents and grounds are absolutely beautiful and the place just has a really relaxed, quiet vibe to it. We will DEFINITELY be back! Breakfast is also great and it was a nice touch to choose from a menu rather than a buffet which always seems so wasteful.

Beautiful property, but not the best with construction going on and not very helpful management.

The property is beautiful and well maintained and very peaceful. It turned out that we were there when there was construction outside our room. We were informed over email, but it wasn't until we were there that we realised that our room that costed 2 million IDR would not have privacy as there are workers standing at a height right outside our room. Our manager said that we were informed about construction and that was it. He wasn't offering to do much except be apologetic. For the price, the hospitality was not at par.

The "tent" we stayed in was not so much a tent as a private villa. Me and my wife to be stayed here, and everything was loved about this place. i’m genuinely surprised at how it is not five-star. For what you pay, the accommodation is more than spacious, very clean, the breakfast is surprisingly good (be sure to get the fried noodles). The staff was some of the most friendly people I’ve met so far at any accommodation in Bali. many people may be turned off by the fact that it is technically Glamping. But I can assure you, it’s so clean, so private, and so well taken care of, that it is better than the majority of hotel rooms.

We had such a lovely time staying at Origin! The bed was soooo comfy, room so spacious and well thought out. Staff were wonderful, breakfast delicious. Insects weren’t a problem as staff light citronella candles by the tent doors each evening. Lovely communal outdoor area tucked away in a private location but super close to the Main Street and beaches (couple of minutes on scooter or car). They are doing some development across the road from Origin but the noise wasn’t a problem at all as they didn’t start until late morning. We extended our stay because it was so relaxing there.

Beaufiul, peaceful, and quiet - with access to everything you could ever need!

We had an exceptional stay at Origin Uluwatu. This accomodation is truly beautiful, peaceful, and quiet - and the photos don’t even come close to doing it justice. The property is huge, and the villas are incredibly spacious with a super king bed, flat screen TV, air conditioning, high speed fan, incredibly fast internet, and a stunning outdoor bathroom that boasts a rain shower and a large bath tub. The hotel supervisors - Hangga and Roshita - went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met. Origin Uluwatu is a 10/10 and I wouldn’t think twice about booking this place again!
