VILLA VENERE con vista sul mare

The location is a little way out of town, which meant a very quiet and rural position. Great views overlooking the bay. Parking was easy and safe outside the property. Easy to get around from the villa. The villa was spacious and traditionally decorated. The patio gets the morning sun so it was great for outdoor morning breakfasts. The nearest supermarket was about 10 minutes drive. Anna, the owner, always replied to any questions and sorted any issues we had straightaway. We would definitely stay here again.

Unfortunately the kettle tended to trip out the electrics requiring visits to a fuse box outside the property (minor inconvenience). The property was quite cold given the time of year however we did have heaters which worked fine. A little more information and tourist info generally would be helpful. We did run out of water (empty tank, dealt with straightaway by the owner) however it probably means tap water is not drinkable, maybe this should be highlighted. Would rather bedding and towels be included in the price (even if the price was increased). However these things did not detract from a great stay.

We booked Villa Venere last minute after we arrived at San Vito lo Capo. The owners, Anna and Cenzo, are very kind and helpful. They picked us up in the town and gave us a ride to the house, which is around 6 km from the town. The place is amazing, with traditional Sicilian decor, and definitely great value for the money. It has beautiful views to the sea and surrounding mountains, it’s quiet, with many hiking options around and close to the entrance to the Zingaro natural reserve. We don’t speak Italian so the hosts communicated with us patiently through translator. They also arranged for us a rental car which was delivered right to the house. In the end we decided to stay for one more night in the villa and for the very last night we stayed at their hotel in San Vito lo Capo because we needed to take an early morning bus to Palermo. And the room in the hotel was also very clean and comfy. Thank you Anna and Cenzo for all the care, we would definitely come back!

Top location, nice terrace with great views over the bay. Very large and characteristic appartment with two nice bedrooms, nice shower. Located in a very secluded / private (quiet) area. Appartment has all the amenities you need. Price- quality is excellent. Definitely worth a stay. San Vito and surrounding area is great for sport climbing.

Some (additional) startup kitchen supplies, like detergent, olive oil would be nice, as you are 5 km from supermarket. Power supply is a bit shaky, but then we did manage to bring the power back online every time. You might also call it "couleur locale". Occasional irritating noise from the oven clock (which you cannot turn off......to be fixed!)
