Sacha Urco Lodge -Private Cloud Forest Reserve in Mindo- Lugar remoto- 4x4 recommended

Amazing location, especially if you are into bird watching and hiking. The cabin we got was spacious and clean. Breakfast is included but we recommend getting lunch and dinner at the hotel too as they make great meals using local ingredients for a good price. Staff is amazing and attentive.

Nothing to dislike. Please do take note that the last part of the drive to the place is hard and likely requires a pickup truck or raised SUV (the hotel does let you know about this in advance). The can arrange for transportation from the main town (15-20 min away) for a very decent price so get this when in doubt.

Tony, the administrator was awesome. The cabin was great. The location is fantastic. We had a lot of fun.

We value privacy, peace and quiet when traveling and we got all that and more at Sacha Urcho. We also enjoyed our comfy bungalow, delicious meals, property trails and bird photography. Everything worked out great. We liked it so much we even extended by one extra day. The team was courteous, attentive and pleasure to deal with.

The only thing that was annoying were termite like (non-biting) insects. They would show up in the evening, trying to get first dibs on our food, when dining al fresco.:) Meal itself was delicious!

The Sacha Urco Lodge y Bosque Protector accommodation is located just outside Mindo, in the middle of the cloud forest, or jungle. This place has its own spiritual power and is simply fantastic. The stay was not only a pleasure, it felt like a second home. The rooms and bungalows (we had a deluxe bungalow) are all spacious and beautifully furnished. The attention to detail, the cleanliness, the care taken with the entire complex, and the palpable joy of the staff in spoiling their guests with culinary delights was simply outstanding and allowed us to immerse ourselves for a moment in this extraordinary cosmos of hospitality. Dieser Ort hat seine ganz Eigene spirituelle Kraft und ist einfach nur fantastisch. Der Aufenthalt war nicht nur ein Genuss, es fühlte sich an wie ein zweites Zuhause. Die Zimmer und Bungalows (wir hatten ein Deluxe Bungalow) sind alle grosszügig bemessen und schön möbliert. Die Liebe zum Detail, die Sauberkeit, die Pflege der gesamten Anlage und die spürbare Freude der Mitarbeiterinnen ihre Gäste auch kulinarisch zu verwöhnen war einfach überragend und liess uns einen Moment lang in diesen aussergewöhnlichen Kosmos der Gastfreundschaft eintauchen.
