Taliari Taormina Apartment

The apartment itself is amazing. Lots of room, comfy bed, fabulous views, albeit a bit noisy with the motorway and gravel pit below the patio. Its a 10 to 15 min (hilly) walk into the old town and there's a fantastic Mini market on the way. Great restaurant recommendations. Private parking is offsite and 10 euros a day. We didn't realise you had to pay for parking, but it was worth every cent. Our check in and communication was quite challenging compared to other properties we've stayed at. The owner wouldn't send through details until 9pm the night before and the checkin isn't with him, but, through a lovely lady, Loredana, at Casa Pertosa (who is up the road from the apartment). Loredana ended up being our lifeline, as we had our own challenges as neither of our phones would accept esims and data roaming wouldn't activate. This meant we were solely relying on wifi for all communication. For this checkin, it was a nightmare as we were instructed to call 30 mins before our arrival. It was also stressful as the internet in the apartment didn't work. It took 24 hours before it was rectified and lots of walking up and down the hill to Casa Pertosa to get help. We had the internet for a few hours and then it died again.

Would have loved some flywires on the balcony doors as the mozzies were everywhere. And, as others have said, a toaster would have been brilliant!

Really spacious. Comfortable beds. Highlight is the veranda with amazing views of the bay.
