Country House - La Charbonnière

Le calme, le domaine et l'accueil. Piscine propre et bien entretenue.

Le prix nous semble excessif au regard des prestations offertes. Piscine un peu loin du logement. Environ 15mn à pied.

The location was great, very tranquil by the lake. A well equipped gite and lovely pool.

We were expecting, from the information given on booking.com, that the pool would be by the gite. In fact, it was a 15 minute walk away/2 minute drive away as Le Charbonnerie is the other side of the large lake from the main house and pool.

Extremely well equipped cottage, very useful to have such necessities as olive oil, dishwasher tablets & washing up liquid provided when self-catering. Very peaceful and picturesque setting. Comfortable beds. Very clean. Beautiful setting at the shared pool area.

The property description on booking.com states 'accommodation featuring private pool.' In reality the cottage is approximately 1km away on the other side of a small lake from the shared pool and other gites that are rented out also. As we had a dog with us and the cottage had a fenced garden this did not bother us too much & we had bikes with us so our older children could cycle off to the pool. However this was not what we expected and would prefer the description to be fully accurate.
