Le Balyam Paris Opéra

Clean, cozy and central! Easy to find. Everything was in walking distance. Metro, attractions, grocery stores, marais shopping, great local restaurants and cafes. It did not feel touristy. Amazing restaurant Bonaventure next door! Highly recommend!! Restaurant Owner Andy was the best. A quick 5 min walk to ‘2026 best Paris croissant’ (Boulangerie du Sentier). Get there early to avoid line up and sold out. Worth waking up and grabbing some fresh croissants for morning breakfast back in the property. We used the metro once from Eiffel Tower (20 mins ride). Otherwise, Very walkable from most attractions. Having 2 bedrooms was really nice! The beds were medium firm and hotel quality crisp clean sheets and comforters. Lots of clean towels and tidy space. Lots of hangars for clothes. No issues with the kitchen layout. Washing machine and a drying rack was there. The machine is a dryer as well but it didn’t dry well. Bathroom was clean and had all the amenities, including a hairdryer with a (curly/wavy hair) diffuser attachment which is nice. Shower pressure was great. The owner provides dish soap and new sponge, clothes washing tablets. It is a ground level property facing the private courtyard/parking. We didn’t hear much noise at all. Even with busy bars/restaurants next door. Wi-Fi worked great. Lots of plugs in the bedrooms. Smart tv was nice to have. Netflix and lots of other streaming platforms ready to log in and use from your own account. We enjoyed staying in the 2nd and I would do it again.

Our stay was in October, so there was no need for air conditioning, however, it did get a bit stuffy as the weather was really nice for that week, we just sat in the property with the door open to let some fresh air in and we felt completely safe to do so. I did see a large fan available as well but we didn’t use it. Having more toilet paper would be nice. It wasn’t a huge issue as there was a grocery store a minute walk away and we bought extra 4 rolls for €2. Minor issues.

Good facilities, great location - 20 min walk to most POI’s. Comfortable king beds in a small or ‘cosy’ 2 br apartment.

Overall, while a good place to stay for our week in Paris, the apartment would benefit from a deep clean, and declutter.
