About this villa rental
A spacious family villa with pool, sea views & beach access
Set on the beautiful Kanapitsa peninsula, this much-loved family villa enjoys wonderful views across the Aegean Sea, a large swimming pool, lush gardens, multiple balconies and terraces, and a path leading to Kanapitsa Beach in less than a minute.
The house is divided into two wings, each with its own fully equipped kitchen, making it particularly well suited to large groups, extended families, or two families travelling together. There is plenty of space to enjoy some privacy when you want it, while the shared living room, main balcony and pool area provide wonderful places for everyone to come together.
The house
The main wing is the slightly larger of the two. On the upper level, next to the kitchen, is a single bedroom with its own balcony and bathroom.
Downstairs are two bedrooms opposite one another, one of which also has a high-quality new sofa bed. These rooms share a bathroom.
A short flight of stairs further down leads to the master bedroom, which opens directly onto the pool area and has its own spacious bathroom with a washing machine.
The second wing has an identical kitchen and a beautiful bedroom with a brand-new queen-size bed, a standing desk for those who need a workspace, and a private terrace overlooking the bay. Next to it is a large bathroom with a washer and dryer.
One level down is a large double bedroom with direct access to the pool, opposite another bedroom with a double bed. There is also a small bathroom on this level.
At the lowest level, you’ll find another spacious bedroom opening directly onto the garden, along with a large bathroom.
All bedrooms have air conditioning.
Both kitchens are fully equipped with dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, dishwashers, and brand-new ovens and stovetops.
Outdoor living
The outdoor spaces are one of our favourite things about the house. The large pool area has plenty of lounge chairs for relaxing in the sun, while two spacious outdoor dining areas, each with its own atmosphere, give you a choice of places for long lunches and evening meals.
Lush gardens surround the villa, and throughout the property you’ll discover little terraces, corners and quiet nooks where you can sit with a book, share a meal or enjoy a glass of wine while taking in the views.
Thanks to the villa’s position on the Kanapitsa peninsula, there are beautiful sea views from both sides of the property.
The beach & getting around
Kanapitsa Beach is less than a one-minute walk from the house. There you’ll find a lovely waterfront taverna and bar, water-sports rentals, and a boat dock.
One of the nicest ways to get into Skiathos Town is by water taxi from Kanapitsa Beach. Boats run regularly during the season, making it easy to head into town for sightseeing, shopping or dinner without having to drive or arrange a taxi.
While the boat is a wonderful option for getting into town, we recommend renting a car if you would like to explore the island. Skiathos has many beautiful beaches and hidden corners to discover, and a car is also useful for reaching supermarkets, restaurants and other amenities.
There are two parking spaces outside the villa for guests.
The Kanapitsa peninsula itself is a lovely area for morning runs and leisurely afternoon or evening walks, with spectacular views of the sea from numerous points along the way.
A much-loved family home
This villa has been in our family for more than 40 years and is a very special place to us. It is a genuine family home rather than just a holiday rental, so you’ll find books, pictures, CDs and other personal belongings around the house. Please feel free to enjoy the books and music during your stay.
A few things to know
The villa is built over several levels and has quite a few stairs, both between bedrooms and living areas. Please take this into consideration if you are travelling with small children or anyone with limited mobility.
The floors throughout the house are marble, with no carpets.
Finally, because of the high wildfire risk during the Greek summer, open-flame BBQs or outdoor cooking are not permitted anywhere on the property. However, a electric BBQ is available for you to use. Skiathos’ lush forests and greenery are a huge part of what makes the island so beautiful, and we appreciate your understanding in helping us protect them.
Above all, this is a house made for long summer days by the sea — mornings at the beach, afternoons around the pool, dinners overlooking the Aegean, and plenty of space for family and friends to enjoy being together.

What a stunning holiday! And this beautiful villa was at the centre of it all. We were looking forward to this trip since christmas, and were not disappointed. There is so much attention to detail. You can see that Susi and her family love this place. It was a privilege to stay here. We were 11 people and it never felt crowded, but rather a home away from home. The location so close to the beach is unbelievable! And Kanapitsa must be the most stunning part of Skiathos. Kate, as a local, gave us all the tips we required and more. Thank you so much. We will definitely come again.

Our time in Skiathos at Villa Aeolos was truly magical. If you find yourself on this beautiful island, staying at Villa Aeolos is a must. As you wander up the road in Kanapitsa, a lovely white iron gate welcomes you, revealing breathtaking views of the Mediterranean.We spent 2.5 weeks here for our honeymoon, and every day was perfect. Entering the gates, you’re greeted by a stunning garden that envelops the house. Jasmine vines adorn the front gate, while bougainvillea surrounds the pool. The area is filled with Chinese trumpet plants, hyacinths, gardenias, and lavender, along with fresh herbs for cooking. Giant rosemary bushes and miniature roses enhance the beauty around the pool.The house itself boasts beautiful marble tiles, with light shifting throughout the day. The charming staircases lead to two well-appointed wings, perfect for privacy or socializing. The living room opens to a balcony overlooking the pool and bay, ideal for enjoying breakfast and reflecting on your good fortune. The beds are comfortable, and the house emanates a comforting energy.We relished the solitude and peace here, lounging by the pool, watching yachts, and enjoying the outdoor shower. Regular walks to the nearby Kanapitsa taverna for dinner were a highlight. We cooked with fresh olive oil and herbs in the well-equipped kitchen, and Kate was warm and welcoming throughout our stay. Leaving brought tears to our eyes; it was such a special place, and we will definitely return.

Breathtaking Views, wonderful villa and superb location.

We loved our time in Skiathos, and mostly because of this beautiful villa. We had two families (two small children between us) staying together, and the rambling layout allowed all of us our privacy but still ensured that we could all spend plenty of time together for meals and pool relaxation. We especially loved that there were so many places around the villa to gather and spend time together - indoors, the balcony, the dining area by the pool, etc, and we could watch the children play while still relaxing.
The house sits on a hill overlooking the sea, and views are absolutely amazing throughout; it's breathtaking when you wake up on the first morning! We would have breakfast on the balcony overlooking the pool and ocean below, then move down to read and float around the pool for the morning, and walk down a little flight of steps at the bottom of the garden to spend the afternoons at the beach.
The house is on a quiet street - there is a small grocery store nearby where we got fresh produce (including plenty of Greek specialties) and used the big kitchens (two of them! We split between meat-eaters and vegetarians ;)) to make our own meals most of the time. During a couple of evenings we took the boat from the nearby beach to Skiathos town for dinner. The town is lovely and very quaint, with some fun nightlife and good restaurants, and souvenir shopping (we bought our weight in olives and honey!) - so staying at the villa provides proximity to the action while maintaining privacy. All in all, this villa is the perfect getaway for families or big groups.
