The location and the big room

Someone had used my bathroom and the towels were on the floor like Someone had just showered.

The room was clean. Fairly quiet, even with airplanes taking off nearby. Bed was very comfortable. Room had a mini fridge, microwave, and hairdryer, which were very useful. Exceeded my expectations for a budget motel.

1. The florescent lights were a bit harsh. 2. Since there's nobody manning the front lobby, I would prefer a locked entrance for safety reasons.

I arrived in Pittsburgh for professional training and my original lodging plans fell through. Through last minute searching I was able to book with Rodeway Inn, Monroeville, and was more than pleased with this accomodation. I booked with an online agent but the receptionist at Rodeway Inn went the extra mile to have me cancel that and book with them directly for a more economical arrangement. The rooms are not carpeted or luxurious but I was well cared for with adequate heat from the efficient wall heater and a microwave to ensure a hot drink was always available. The shower was warm with abundant water, house cleaning service was regular with consistently supplied towels. In my first room the WiFi was unreliable, and they had me change to a nearby ground floor room (I requested ground floor at check in), where the internet services were more reliable. The receptionist receives and stores any items you order from online suppliers. This motel is within comfortable walking distance of two PRT lines that head downtown. On the compound are dining businesses and a coin-operated laundromat. Starbucks is not far away. Giant Eagle and Target grocery stores are thirty minutes away on foot, seven minutes away on bus 68. However, some persons may smoke on the compound. I checked out two days early and they agreed to refund me as they said at the beginning when I checked in. All told, it was a happy stay for me.

There are smokers on the compound and their smoke often reaches you.

The room is very basic. The TV was the only thing I liked. The a/x was pretty good. The parking was great and easy to find a spot. The Location was great.

The shower had no pressure, and there was almost no water. The check-in was confusing, got a call and waited around till someone showed up. The upcharge for what you get because of the NFL draft in town was wild. I would pay not even half what I paid.
