Koskinou Traditional Houses

1) Property: We loved our stay at Anastasia Traditional House. It’s a spacious, traditionally decorated property featuring two separate units joined by a lovely central courtyard. It’s ideal for families, offering two full bathrooms, strong hot showers, reliable Wi-Fi, great A/C in the rooms, and a private washing machine. The mattresses were very comfortable, and despite a lively tavern nearby (do visit, it’s excellent!), the house was remarkably quiet inside. 2) Location: Set in a charming village on a peaceful, pedestrian-only street with very welcoming locals. Keep in mind that you’ll need to carry your luggage to the house upon arrival (about 5 minutes), and street parking in the surrounding area can take time to find during peak summer months. 3) Host: Andriana gave us a warm welcome and helpful local tips on our first day. She was always accessible over Viber whenever we messaged.

1) Property: The ground floor of the first unit stayed quite hot since the upstairs A/C didn't reach it. In the second unit's loft, adding padding and a warning sign on the low ceiling beam would prevent tall guests from hitting their heads. Adding a tin opener and an electric coffee whisk to the kitchen would also be great. Lastly, please clarify the listing for the Dafne property, as our friends were surprised to find the washing machine there was shared rather than private (like ours). 2) Location: It might be helpful to warn future guests about peak summer parking delays so they can plan ahead. We were there in July and there were nights that I had to search for parking for more than 15 minutes and/or park the car rather far. 3) Host: While we appreciated our host’s fast replies, her handling of an unexpected pest issue that was very unsettling for our family (a large cockroach crawling over sleeping family members in bed) fell short. We understand that pests can occasionally appear in village homes, but when we reported the incident the response was simply that pest control is used and these things happen. Rather than offering proactive solutions, such as checking for alternative accommodations or immediately providing fresh linens and an inspection, the host offered no suggestions until we specifically requested these basic steps ourselves (only to learn no other rooms were available, though fresh linens and an inspection were eventually provided).

Very clean and well presented property in an authentic Greek village. Great location with a private entrance and only a short walking distance to restaurants and shops. Andriana the host was extremely welcoming and very helpful, providing a lot of great recommendations for things to see/do around Rhodes and also was always available to answer questions. The property has a washing machine which also came in very handy.

A car is definitely required when staying in the village, it’s not possible to walk down to the beach due to the steep roads with limited pavement. There is a taxi office in the village (main square) which I used a couple of times but getting back can be an issue as drivers don’t seem keen to go to the village. The host very helpfully provided car rental numbers but it’s important to book in advance as they have limited availability last minute

La struttura è fantastica, ben arredata e super pulita con tutti i comfort necessari. Gli arredi nuovi e ben tenuti con numerosi accessori. L'alloggio si trova nel vecchio centro storico meta turistica per la bellezza delle tradizionali abitazioni caratterizzate dagli archi bizantini. Gli abitanti sono molto accoglienti e in tutte le ore della giornata si gode di tranquillità assoluta. Ci sono tre note taverne storiche che preparano degli ottimi piatti grechi. A pochi passi dalla struttura c'è anche un ottimo bar e un'ottima panetteria nonché un ampio parcheggio. A circa 15 minuti di macchina si raggiunge la città di Rodi così come alcune ottime spiagge. La grande Andriana che ci ha accolto all'arrivo con del buon vino, è stata sin dal primo contatto puntualissima e molto disponibile in tutto. Ci è sembrato sin dal primo momento di essere a casa nostra motivo per il quale quando un giorno ritorneremo in questa splendida isola alloggeremo nuovamente qui.
