Casa Sentosa

Ticked all the boxes, great location, few minutes in an Uber into the town or a 15 minute walk.

Loved it could do with a bit of updating

Beds and pillows need improving

The villa was a 10 minute walk into the town. The management company were super friendly. They knocked once to introduce themselves and see if everything was okay. We ran out of gas and had no idea how to change it. They were amazing and changed the gas can for us :) The pictures do not do the pool & villa size justice. It was so much bigger than we expected. We would definitely say here again.

Only down side was the smallest room only had one plug which was occupied by a fan.

Previous comments regarding this property mention 'the hill'. It's not too bad - we found it no problem. If you go to Carvoeiro, unless you're right in the centre, you're up a hill. They really aren't that bad and I'm 70+. Every picture I've seen of the pool at Sentosa does not do it justice (except for the ones we have taken). We've stayed in many villas in Carvoeiro and this has been the best pool. When the sun is shining it looks very inviting.

Sometimes the patisserie in the municipal market didn't have Pastel de Natas (but did accept orders for the following day). The pool has a walled-off 'kiddies area'. That's no problem, but when others are splashing in the main pool the underwater wall is sometimes difficult to see. The problem comes when the children jump in, we were concerned they might jump on to the wall rather than into the pool. It didn't happen to our 2 and 4 year olds, but it's worth mentioning.
