Adam and Eve House

The host Joseph was an excellent host. Very honest and knowledgeable about the area. He can provide any necessary service. His son Adam is the captain of their boat. At sixteen he is mature beyond his years. The whole family is very welcoming and hospitable. The apartment is comfortable with a partial view of the Nile. We were very happy there. The location is good for staying away from the Luxor hustle and bustle. It’s about a twenty minute walk to the ATM. Restaurants are about a five to fifteen minute walk.

The bathroom shower is a little tight but functional. Plenty of hot water. The neighborhood is growing so at times there can be construction noise. The local dogs can be a little noisy in the morning at times. The house WIFI is weak in the apartment.

Staying with Yusuf and his his family felt more like we were staying at home. While we had some of the best conversations over tea a few times a day, the hosts are always available at the stay or even via WhatsApp. Yusuf helped us with our entire stay, site seeing and experiences at Luxor which was convenient yet a relief from the need to explore and negotiate. The family has their own Felucca and boat so being on it again felt like we were in a friend's feluca. We also did the hot air balloon and again thanks to Yusuf, it was all arranged for, all we needed to do was pay. Our stay was located walking distance from the Nile, resturants and supermarkets. Nothing fancy but truly authentic.

Yusif and his family were the best hosts I could ever ask for, kind, caring, honest and such great company, he offered his help whenever we needed it, and we needed it a lot. We made a mistake not booking our tours and sight seeing with him, and not staying longer in Luxor. Don’t be like us! About the flat itself, it was clean, tidy, offered all general appliances, the bed was comfortable and has a pretty stable wifi connection. About the West Bank, more of a local experience I really enjoyed a lot more than the busy streets of Luxors East Bank, beautiful views of the countryside from the balcony too.

Youssef and his whole family are so helpful, polite and nice. We travelled here from Hurghada by GoBus and Youssef had his son Adam meet us with his boat at the Nile to ferry us across ! Young Adam then carried our case to the property for us where we were met by Youssef. The pictures on the listing are 100% true, what you see is what you get and wow those views from the rooftop balcony are amazing. For the price you pay you will be amazed.
