Ants... Ants... Ant infestation... Avoid this place.

Ants ants ants... Avoid booking this apartment block. The place requires renovation and it has ant infestation. If you dont want to sit down and kill ants in the middle of night or to take ants in your luggage back home, then avoid booking this place.

We travelled with 7 month old baby and on night #3 the kitchen was full of ants. Luckily I had alcohol spray and I killed the ants all nights as they kept coming back... When in the morning we asked property to relocate us or refund fully so that we can book new place, they refused and shamelessly charged us 3 nights we stayed there (1 night we did not even sleep due to ant cleaning)...As baby basinet was close to floor, we did not sleep and watched her all night with alchohol at hand... Owners are shameless and unethical scammers. They said it is just ant, ants are not dangerous and we would only got full refund if we saw ants on 1st night... We moved with 7 month old baby in the middle of holiday to more expensive place due to weekend and short notice booking ... And the owners showed no sign of curtousy for our trouble. Simply wish they face similar issue with their family on their holiday ...Only then maybe they will have some empathy.

The location for a city break was good.

The apartment is a little tired, with damage that hasn't been repaired properly. There are damaged plug sockets that are loose in the wall,and signs of water damage that hasn't been repaired properly. The apartment needs fully redecorating too.

One of my favorite places to stay

Location was amazing! We were quite literally in the center of town - 2 minutes from Calle Larios and about 6 minutes to the central market. The apartment looked better than the pictures - The hosts were always available via whatsapp to address any questions we had. The rental office was about 3 blocks from the apartment and we were able to hold our bags for a few hours until check-in. It also allowed us to grab a bite and walk around this stunning city while the room was being prepped.

This really has nothing to do with the apartment, but the elevator is small. I know it's because the building is old (but completely renovated). Only 2 people can go in at a time, and it's really tight with even small bags. We managed :) Other than that everything was so nice :)

Expensive but great location

The location was great and the size of the apartment was a bonus.

We stayed in four apartments in Spain and this was by far the most expensive but unfortunately it wasn’t the best in terms of upkeep and cleanliness. Surfaces were dusty, the bathrooms out of date with stains on the floor and tables were not wiped down. It was incredibly expensive and the value wasn’t there. It was also very hard to work out which apartment you were getting from the photos and the main photos appear much nicer than the decor in the apartment we booked

Location was amazing so close to everything apartment was light and airy. Check in was easy and we got to check into the apartment early which was a great bonus as we had arrived in an early flight. Staff very friendly communication excellent and helpful

The showers were awful. Very poor flow and pressure needs improved! Also the facilities were poor. No kettle, no handwash left only one hand towel for 6 people. We got by but small things make all the difference. Beds bit hard but clean and pillows soft.

Great location and great apartment but some clearer arrival planning information needed

Great location and the staff at Iloft Malaga were really nice and spoke great English. They also booked a taxi for our return trip back to the airport which was worth the extra few euros for peace of mind. Our apartment - 3 Calle Nueva- flat 4E was on the top (4th) floor of a block in a pedestrian only area, but this was no issue if you have done some research as to the location and have a map etc. There is a good sized lift- fine for prams etc. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable, though there were a few minor maintenance issues and signs of quite a lot of wear to some of the furniture, so could be improved. Bedrooms overlook internal courtyard, lounge facing the street. It was February so did not test the A/C but shutters also fitted to all windows. Kitchen pretty well equipped. It is in a great central location and easy to explore all the local sights- our children aged 7 & 11 loved the music museum and Pompidou Centre was great plus the castle. The Blue catamaran 1 hour cruise was also fun. Local Carrefour express shop just around the corner for essentials and there are lots of local bakeries & shops to chose from. Taxi's from the airport were plentiful when we arrived on a Saturday evening which was just as well, as the one we booked via Booking.com did not arrive and they were no help at all. Local driver from taxi rank was 24 euros for 4 people. Taxi back booked via Iloft was 32 euro's but was very easy and collected us from just around the corner of the apartment in Plaza de la Constitucion outside Starbucks so the easiest way to catch an early flight back. Would definitely stay again but the apartment will need regular updates and maintenance to keep up a good standard.

If arriving out of hours keys can be collected from lock boxes to the entrance of the Iloft offices which are close by, but again this is a pedestrian area, so needs a bit of planning. It would have been helpful if Iloft could have provided much clearer instructions, i.e; a detailed map and up to date street view images in a single document ahead of our stay, rather than constantly having to ask for clarifications, such as where is the closest point to get a taxi to drop you off etc. Welcome instructions did not clearly explain where rubbish could be disposed of - just advised 'around the corner' but we were not sure which corner. Eventually we found some bins but no signs of recycling so left this in the the apartment.

It was spacious with plenty of seating and had 2 bathrooms which was a key feature when booking this apartment.

Both showers were set too high up and just not powerful enough especially in the main shower room. The lighting was poor with 2 lights out in the shower room and a huge lamp in the twin bedroom but no socket to plug it in on the bedside cabinet. There was no point in the lamp being there. Also the main light wasn’t bright enough.

The shower was poor. The shower head was old and the door didn't stop the water from making a huge puddle on the floor which I needed to mop up. It needs a rubber attachment on the bottom of the door
