About this house rental

Farmhouse (160 m2) that has been recently renovated in the hills of Pisa (350 m a.s.l) in a 15 ha property with olive groves and woods. 1.5 km Castellina Marittima (all kinds of shops, horse riding), 12 km the sea, 40 km Pisa, Livorno and Volterra, 55 km San Gimignano. Panoramic view that extends from the Apuane Alps to the sea. In summer the sun sets behind Corsica, and some mornings, you can see the Duomo of Pisa. Peacefull position. In the equipped lawn near the house the swimming pool (4x8) (1/5-30/9) is to be found with a jacuzzi bench, changing room and outside shower. )
To take advantage of al the views, Serrantica has three dining rooms: one inside the house, one under the portico and one under the large fig tree in front of the house.
The private swimming pool is accessible from 01/05 to 31/09.

I READ SOME COMMENTS REGARDING STEEP AND ROCKY ROADS TO BE A DISAPPOINTMENT AND CHALLANGE FOR SOME VISTORS.The access to this house is absolutely know problem at all. This house with surroundings is absolutely amazing! It was way better then we ever could have expected. Stefania that met up with us was so sweet and welcoming. The pool and the view was so nice. We have nothing to complain about at all and hope to visit again! A little suggestion only, to put up some lights in the driveway and garden that would be light up at night would be amazing! The villa is absolutly beautiful, more than fully equipped und the view over the countryside is breathtaking, especially with the sunset. The pool is big enough for 6 persons. Jean-Louis is super nice and courteous. The check-in was easy and welcoming. If you wanna have a beautiful villa in a super sweet area, this is the right thing.

Magnificent view, beautyful garden full of flowers, a very quiet place, and all the tuscan sites just around. The villa is perfectely equiped, and the kitchen there is better than mine ! Enjoy cooking and dining underbthe great fig tree. Castellina is wery well known for great wines and excellent food. I will come back :-)

Das Haus ist in einer einzigartigen Lage. Die Aussicht ist traumhaft, das Grundstück riesig, das Haus ohne direkte Nachbarn. Ein Kieswerk (Gipsabbau?) befindet sich in der Nähe - diese "Geräusche" nimmt man für diese Immobilie aber gerne in Kauf. Das Haus ist groß und verfügt über eine gute Aufteilung: EG mit großer, gut ausgestatteter Wohnküche, kleines Wohnzimmer, größeres Wohnzimmer, Badezimmer, im OG 3 Schlafzimmer und 2 Badezimmer, alles sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. 2 der Schlafzimmer haben eine wunderschöne Meersicht. Die Küche verfügt über sämtliche Küchengeräte (mehr als ich von zu Hause gewohnt bin) Unsere 4 Hunde durften uns begleiten, sie fanden genug Platz in der Wohnküche, das restliche Haus hielten wir wie besprochen Hundefrei - sie konnten sich auf dem riesigen Grundstück austoben und so haben wir alle einen wunderbaren Urlaub verbracht. Wir verbringen jeden Herbst Urlaub in der Toskana und wir haben nur gute Erfahrungen gemacht, aber dieses Haus war bis jetzt das schönste. Ich kann jedem empfehlen, den Urlaub in der Villa Serrantica zu verbringen.

Nous sommes un couple avec 2 bébés et avons passé une superbe semaine dans cette villa. Les lieux sont bien plus beaux que les photos de présentation. Il y a tout pour passer une superbe semaine : ustensiles de cuisine, barbecue, beaux espaces pour le repas, du soleil, de l'ombre, la piscine (un peu froide : une bâche pour la nuit serait bienvenue pour garder la température :-) ), les salons pour se détendre, les grands espaces, l'isolement complet et la liberté de faire ce que l'on veut (chanter, danser, s'amuser,...) Formidable villa, Stefania est à 1 minute de la villa si besoin ! Le jardin et la piscine sont entretenus pendant le séjour ! Il faut se batailler avec le wifi mais l'essentiel n'est pas là, et finalement on est bien content d'avoir le minimum d'Internet ce qui permet de se concentrer sur la vue! Bref vous l'aurez compris... Foncez-y ! Le proprio est très sympathique et rempli d'humour ! JFC

We spent 9 weeks at the Villa Serrantica, from mid-April to mid-June, and fell in love with both the house and the area. Highlights: - A great house, larger and better that the pictures show. Well equipped and comfortable - this is not an average vacation house, but a real home. - A huge property, completely private, surrounded by olive trees and flowery meadows. - Fantastic view of the Tuscan hills and Mediterranean - A large garden, very children friendly (our 1 and 3 year old kids could run free without much supervision) - A glass of wine by the stone table under the fig tree during sunset is plain magic - Castellina Marittima is an authentic, non-touristy little village that really grows on you. - The location is great for a variety of activites. Close to the sea and nice, sandy beaches (or cliffs if you like that), close to the gorgeous inland Tuscany and towns like San Gimignano and Volterra, close to the famous Bolgheri wine district. - The villa is a great starting place for both running, cycling and hiking (there are plenty of very nice footpaths in the hills - a bit hard to find but they are there) Lowlights (this is really minor stuff, but all is not picture perfect): - The internet connection is not much to rely on. It works for the occasional e-mail, but not much more. - The nearby mining plant is in view from parts of the property, and produces occasional noise. - The outdoor area could use some more maintanance Recommend? Yes! Go back? I hope so

No complaints regarding the property - nice house in a very calm and quiet place. Restaurants and supermarkets easily accessible by car. The only issue (not stated in advertation) is a huge industrial object in veasibility. Don't know anything wether it is dangerous or not. Anyway it is worth notice.

Tolles, geräumiges Haus, gut ausgestattet, gepflegter großer Garten. Die Aussicht ist traumhaft, wenn auch dadurch die Lage etwas abseits ist. Zu Fuß nach Castellina Marittima mindestens 20 Minuten bergauf. Zum Meer nach Rosignano Solvay 20 Minuten mit dem Auto. Man ist aufs Auto angewiesen und die Zufahrt zum Grundstück abenteuerlich steil über losen Schotter mit sehr ausgefahrenen Spuren. Sehr hilfsbereite Verwalterin und sehr netter Vermieter, der immer schnell geantwortet hat.

Wir durften eine Woche in diesem wunderschönen, toskanischen Anwesen verbringen und auch den tollen Pool genießen. Wer typisch toskanisch sucht, ist hier richtig. Prima Ausstattung, uns hat nichts gefehlt. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter (Jean-Luis) war stets schnell und konkret und auch vor Ort kümmert sich Stefania rührend um die Dinge. Also, wir können das Gesamtpaket empfehlen und würden jederzeit wieder dieses Anwesen buchen.

Das Haus liegt sehr idyllisch auf einer Anhöhe unterhalb Castellina Marittima. Die Zufahrt über einen Schotterweg ist mit einem normalen Pkw möglich - tiefergelegte Fahrzeuge müssen leider draußen bleiben ;-). Das Haus ist sehr gut und schön ausgestattet. Es liegt sehr ruhig, nur in der Ferne gibt es einen Alabaster-Steinbruch, den man ab und zu hört.

Das Haus ist wunderschön gelegen und alle Zimmer sowie der Pool waren sogar noch schöner als auf den Fotos. Es gibt viel Platz, 3 Bäder und eine gut ausgestattete große Küche. Einzig die Spülmaschine ist nicht mehr ganz in Topform. Vom Garten, in dem ein riesiger Feigenbaum und mehrere Olivenbäume stehen, hat man einen tollen Blick über die Landschaft bis zum Sonnenuntergang am Meer. Im Wohnzimmer steht sogar ein Teleskop zum Sterne beobachten. Im schönen Ort Castellina Marittima gibt es einige kleinere Läden und die nächsten großen Supermärkte sind in 20min erreichbar. Die Zufahrt zum Haus ist eine Schotterpiste, evtl schwierig mit einem Sportwagen.

Es ist ein tolles Haus, nur leider ist es ein wenig veraltet. Die Ausstattung der Küche ist leider grenzwertig was das Geschirr, Gläser usw. angeht. Die Matratzen und das Haus riechen leider nach alt. Auch gerade beim öffnen der Schubladen und Schränke ist der Geruch deutlich.Die Sicht auf das Meer, ist im stehen, super. Wir haben zu 8. eine wunderschöne Woche in diesem Ferienhaus verbracht. Man ist total für sich alleine und auch das Bergwerk etwas unterhalb des Hauses hat überhaupt nicht gestört. Zum nächsten Strand braucht man ca. 25 Minuten und auch der nächste größere Supermarkt befindet sich in dieser Entfernung. Das Haus ist top ausgestattet (wir fanden es für 8 Leute immer noch groß genug), die Küche hat alles was man braucht und auch die Spülmaschine war Luxus. Auch die Kommunikation mit Stefania war problemlos. Wir empfehlen das Haus auf jeden Fall weiter, und waren auch alle der Meinung, dass das Grundstück und Haus vor Ort noch sehr viel schöner als auf den Bildern im Internet aussah.

Die Ausstattung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber noch zweckmäßig. Das gilt auch für die Poolanlage. Auflagen für Liegen wären schön. 4 der 6 Betten sollten erneuert werden. Aber insgesamt ein empfehlenswertes Haus.

Abbiamo soggiornato una settimana in 6 in questa casa immersa nel verde: la stradina che porta alla casa è sterrata e dissestata, parecchio in salita, ma non ci si deve far spaventare da quei pochi metri perché si sarà completamente ripagati con una vista mozzafiato. La casa è dotata di tutto ciò che vi può servire, con una bella piscina attrezzata. Molto utile avere 3 bagni a disposizione (1 nella camera matrimoniale, 1 sempre al piano superiore a disposizione delle due doppie, 1 di servizio al piano terra con wc e doccia - i due al piano superiore con bidet). All'esterno è presente una doccia per sciacquarsi dopo il bagno in piscina. Unica pecca, la piscina andrebbe pulita quotidianamente e non saltuariamente perché essendo in collina, insetti, terriccio e foglie portati dal vento ci cadono facilmente. La casa è fresca grazie a tendaggi e scuri regolabili, per cui non si sente la mancanza dell'aria condizionata. È dotata di due sale con tv, che sono state molto apprezzate - così come il Wifi- dai ragazzi nelle ore più calde. La cucina è ampia e attrezzatissima! Sono presenti un forno, un microonde, la lavastoviglie, un gas a 4 fuochi, set da tavola, piatti, bicchieri, tazze e tazzine, posate, elettrodomestici, ciotole e teglie, pentole... Diventa difficile abbandonarla, ma merita farlo sia per raggiungere in massimo 15 minuti una delle numerose spiagge nelle vicinanze, sia per visitare borghi e città d'arte. Tutto collegato benissimo! Anche se per chi desidera una vacanza in totale relax, a Castellina Marittima può trovare tutto! Ristoranti, bar, negozi: tutto in miniatura, ma con un'accoglienza così cordiale da farvi desiderare di tornare.

Die Lage des Hauses ist super, relativ kurzer Weg zum Strand und zu einem Supermarkt. Der Weg zum Grundstück ist etwas schwierig. Dennoch war die Kommunikation mit der Vermietung einfach und es wurde schnell auf Fragen geantwortet. Insgesamt war das Haus sehr schön und ich würde es weiterempfehlen.

Abgesehen von der Zufahrt zum Haus und der Steinfabrik im Tal haben wir ein sehr schönes Haus an bester Lage angetroffen. Die Aussicht ist umwerfend, die Ausstattung im Haus ist hervorragend, es fehlt an nichts. Wir haben uns bestens erholt und empfehlen das Haus uneingeschränkt weiter. Wer weiss, vielleicht kommen wir bald wieder.

Wir waren im Juni 2019 2 Wochen in diesem geräumigen Haus. Die Bewertungen versprachen einen schönen Urlaub. Der Weg zum Haus glich einem sehr schlechten Feldweg, wie schon von anderen beschrieben. Das Haus liegt auf einem Hügel. Man hat einen wunderschönen Ausblick in das Gebirge und auf die Küste. Die Gläser, das Besteck und das Geschirr waren nicht sauber. Wir haben alles vor dem Gebrauch gespült. Die Spülmaschine ist wohl in die Jahre gekommen. In der Espressomaschine fanden wir noch das Tab des Vormieters. Das Wohnzimmer roch muffig, vor allem die Couch. Wenn wir dort waren, haben wir das Haus belüftet. Die Terrassenmöbel waren verschmutzt von Staub und Vogelmist. Wir haben zuerst einmal den Tisch und die Stühle vor dem ersten Abendessen abgewaschen. Vermisst haben wir auch die Auflagen für die Liegen am Pool. Es war unser viertes Ferienhaus am Mittelmeer, von der Sauberkeit her aber bisher das schlechteste. Wir können sagen, dass wir es sauberer verlassen haben, als wir es vorgefunden haben. Die Verwalter waren sehr freundlich, konnten aber weder englisch noch französisch.

Very nice and clean villa, great location. Extremely friendly staff. The panorama view of the villa and the yard with fig tree and pool area are perfect. The village of Castellina Marittima is close by and the beach isn't too far either. During the heatwave the house got a bit warm. We also would have appreciated a gas grill (instead of an outdoor fire place) but all in all very pleased with the house! We will come again!

Für einen ruhigen und erholsamen Urlaub ist man hier genau richtig. Abseits der Touristengegenden liegt die Villa alleine stehend auf den Hüglen nahe Castellina Marittima. Eine grandiose Aussicht über die Ebene mit Sonne von früh bis spät. Der gepflegte Garten bietet viel Platz, der große Feigenbaum ein schattiges Plätzchen für das Mittagessen oder ein genußvolles Dinner zu Sonnenuntergang. Am privaten Pool findet man Schatten unter einer Weinlaube. Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt und liebevoll mit Stil eingerichtet. Viele kleine Details vermitteln den Charakter des Vermieters. Ein äußert netter Vermieter (Jean Louis) sowie eine engagierte Verwalterin (Stefania) mit ihrem Team machen den Aufenthalt so richtig angenehm. Der Pool (umzäunt) wird regelmäßig gepflegt ebenso wie der Rasen gemäht. Die Nächte sind sehr ruhig, da es keine Nachbarn weit und breit gibt. Bei klarem Wetter hat man einen tollen Blick auf einen mit Sternen übersäten Nachthimmel. Nach Castellina Marittima sind es ein paar Minuten (kleine Shops, Bars, Restaurants). Wer größere Shops sucht ist in Cecina oder Rosignano Solvay gut aufgehoben. Zum Bau-Beach (Hundestrand) sind es knapp 20km. Die im Tal liegende Fabrik der Firma Knauf ist teilweise vom Grundstück aus sichtbar und die Geräusche (Bagger beim Gipsabbau) sind nicht weiter störend - jede starkbefahrene Strße mach mehr Lärm ;-). Die Zufahrt zum Haus ist nicht für tiefergelegte Sportwagen geeignet, aber sonst mit jeder "normaler" Bodenfreiheit zu schaffen. Die Villa Serrantica war das beste Feriendomizil welches wir je hatten :). Wir kommen gerne wieder :).

Alles in Allem ein sehr schöne Unterkunft von der aus man schnell an der Küste und in den großen Städten der Toscana ist. Die Gipsfabrik im Tal stört eigentlich nicht. Unrühmliche Ausnahme waren zwei Sprengungen, die eine schon erschrecken ließen. Ansonsten fühlten wir uns aber sehr wohl und von Stefania (die Hausverwalterin) gut betreut.
