Le Marais Calme et lumineux

Location - best possible if arriving from CDG. Quiet and yet lively area. Connections in all directions. We were impressed by the thoughtful design and colors of the apartment renovation, everything worked, the necessary dishes and cooking utensils were there. We were afraid of the effects of the heat wave in the apartment without air conditioning, but with the help of open windows and fans we coped with it. I would gladly use this place again.

Yes, as mentioned, climbing stairs can be a challenge, as it was for my wife, whose 70th birthday we celebrated with this trip, but she said the apartment was worth the climb.

Convince, quaint & spiral 6 floor walk up

Good location.Plenty of nearby restaurants and yet street was quiet. Owner was helpful.Bed was comfy and facilities good.

Condition of building was poor and felt dangerous.On 4th floor with no lift and 62 steps up. Landing areas dark and lights kept going out mid-climb.Exposed wires in walls and crumbling plaster.Path outside also ill-lit and cobbled stones underfoot a hazard. Flat much smaller and not as attractive as appeared in photographs. Would avoid if not 100% fit or don’t fancy a climb after a tiring day out!
