Villa Omis Michy is a marvellous place for a family/group holiday. Our group comprised of nine adults (three couples and three single) leaving three bedrooms to spare.
There are three well equipped kitchens (one on each floor, two of them have dishwashers), two lounges (1st & 3rd floor), a gym (2nd floor) and a lovely, private, heated pool & patio area (3rd floor). Each floor also has a long balcony overlooking the sea and the picturesque town of Omis, perfect for viewing the spectacular sunsets. The ground floor of the building is a small supermarket, which is very handy for provisions and is open from 7am until 10pm.
We had 2 vehicles in the private parking but there is easily room for 4.
Our host, Mihovil, greeted us on arrival and gave us the guided tour. He told us how the Villa had developed as a family project, and it was clear to see that a lot of dedication and love had been put into it. He also serviced the pool early each morning and answered our WhatsApp messages promptly.
The villa was very clean, airy, spacious and well equipped, with individually controlled air-conditioning units, two washing machines, TVs in lounges and bedrooms, numerous hairdryers and plenty of towels supplied. The Wi-Fi signal was excellent and there were plenty of socket outlets, even around the pool area, for phone charging and playing music etc.
It was a bit of a steep walk down into the town but there are sets of steps between the three switchback levels of the road, so I managed well enough despite being reliant on a walking stick due to disability. The area around the villa is nice and quiet though the town itself was a bustling and pleasantly vibrant place, particularly in the evenings when the restaurants took centre stage.
The beaches were lovely and never too crowded. The sea was incredibly clear and a perfect temperature for swimming (about 20C), even in early October, and the water was nice and calm due to being sheltered by the island of Brac.
We honestly could not fault the villa, it was superb! We had meals in three or four restaurants in Omis and, though the food was nice enough, the menus were fairly uninspiring and the prices were similar to UK prices.
We visited Diocletian's Palace in Split, which was decidedly underwhelming. Split is a fairly ugly city and the palace has very little to recommend it. Lots of bare walls and very few actual exhibits.

Vila s nádherným výhledem na moře, čistá, hezky zařízená a dobře vybavená (k dispozici čisticí prostředky, mýdlo na ruce, tablety do myčky, toaletní papír, ručníky, 2 pračky, 2 myčky, 2 elektrické grily, topinkovače...), pokoje jsou menší (některé mají jen postel a noční stolky, ale místo skříní můžete využívat pojízdné tyčové věšáky, problém může být s umístěním dětské postýlky do ložnice). Vila má několik balkónů se vstupem z ložnic nebo společných prostor. Útulná zahrada a bazén jsou pravidelně udržovány majitelem vily v brzkých ranních hodinách, takže se ráno vzbudíte a bazén je čistý :-). Majitel velmi vstřícný se zájmem o spokojenost hostů, na uvítanou jsme měli na stolech ovoce a při odjezdu jsme od majitele dostali suvenýry vlastní výroby. V přízemí domu je prodejna potravin - takže seběhnete schody a máte k snídani čerstvé pečivo, ... :-D. Vila je umístěna cca 10 minut chůze z centra a 15 minut chůze z pláže - cesta k vile do kopce, ale po příchodu je tam ta sprcha a bazén :-). Kdo má chuť, může se třeba ještě vyběhat na trenažeru ve fitku v druhém patře vily nebo vylézt na 2 pěšky dosažitelné hrady nad Omiší. Pláž písčitá (cca 800 m od vily) a moře dlouho mělké, pro děti naprosto ideální. Vilu i destinaci určitě doporučuji a ráda se vrátím.

We travelled as a group of 7 friends and the house was perfect for that! We loved the pool, the table tennis, the fitness room, the grill and of course the amazing view over the ocean and the mountains!
And it was also a big plus that there is a small Studenac shop on the ground floor, where we could go, whenever we ran out of drinks or food! The owner is such a nice and relaxed guy, he gave us a lot of his homemade wine, lots of fruits and also a giant plate of Burek, because he noticed on our ID's that 2 guys of the group had their birthdays during the vacation! We can 100% recommend to come here! And we'll definetely come back here one day!
