Nice place in a nice neighborhood

Huge place with 3 double rooms, sitting room and private garden. Easy to keep cool by opening windows and closing the louvred blinds. Nice leafy suburb.

Bit of walk uphill, which in 30+ heat was hard work. Keeping cool with windows open meant you heard the neighbourhood dogs quarrelling. all night

Superb

Clean and comfortable house - just 20 minutes walking from the historical center of Barga. Big rooms - more than enough for 4 people. Surrounded by small garden. Free parking place nearby.

The apartment and rooms were very big and roomy.

No fans. Not a big issue except is was very hot in this period.

Nice place but bring a fan or bug spray for the nights

Spacious home, close to bus stop and the main attractions of Barga.

It was hot. Sure, the house is cool if you leave the windows open, but then you end up with a zillion bug bites. I think it would cost the owner very little to provide a fan or mozzie coils or other bug bite prevention for each room. When I asked the owner about this in advance, his response was 'the house is cool' - but as other reviews also demonstrate, it's really not cool unless you leave all the windows open, which basically means bug bites. My kids are covered in bites.

Whole house with garden. Quite and close to city.

Whole house with spacious rooms. New bathroom. Garden access. View from the window of the Apuan Alps. Walking distance to supermarket and old city. Very quite despite neighbor's dogs (they were quite at night).

There was no free WiFi. No information about the city and possible activities, restaurants, etc. But this may have been due to a language problem. The host didn't speak English and we no Italian.
