Great stay for my daughter’s birthday trip. Beautiful homely accommodation.

Very clean and homely. Lovely to arrive and have essentials like bread butter and wine waiting for us, thank you! Easy to deal with the owner, no problems at all. Great location, close to local village pubs and a few minutes drive from Alton Towers. Would love to stay again if ever we are in that neck of the woods. Thank you, we had a wonderful stay.

Awesome Property poor parking

House was very spacious, clean and tidy with all the facilities you could need.

Parking, needs a dedicated parking space, street parking was rammed. Ended up having to park where it said No parking outside the property.

A real home from home (but nicer)

Conveniently located, literally around the corner from the local shop and pubs, Ash House is a beautiful property. Cosy and clean it has a real homey feel (and the welcome basket was a lovely touch) There's a good selection of books and DVDs and our son (18) was very happy with the piles of games for the PS3. It's also well equipped with all the day to day essentials we needed during our stay. I know people have can have reservations about pet friendly lets (if, like us, they don't have a dog themselves) but other than the dog bowls by the front door there were no other signs that pets had been in the property. We did have occasion to contact Pete (the housekeeper) when we arrived but Steve (the owner) got in touch and couldn't have been more helpful. The primary reason for our stay was to visit Alton Towers and only being a 5min drive away was perfect. The locals are friendly and I would definitely recommend a meal in the Bulls Head. The garden area is also lovely to sit out in, despite being on a main road it is so peaceful. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Ash House.

We had a lovely time and the cottage is very homely

Loved the attic for our three boys to sleep in. It was like their own den! Bedding was clean and comfortable. Felt like a home.

A cosy home-from-home experience with everything that we could possibly need.

The location was absolutely fine...beautiful countryside. The house is very convenient for local shops and pubs and everything that we could possibly need is provided. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to others.

We had been informed beforehand that the shared driveway was out of bounds and so we were well prepared and it wasn't an issue. The road is very busy with traffic heading to and from Alton Towers and so care must be taken with children.

Home from home!

We liked everything else that this charming spacious cottage had to offer. It was a home from home. Had plenty of everything we could possibly need, including a bonus welcome pack. It was a very comfortable stay. We would definitely recommend Ash House for a visit to Alton and for its close proximity to Alton Towers.

Just the slight annoyance of not being able to use the shared driveway for unloading which we were aware of before booking. Free non restrictive parking is available across the road.

The location was perfect and the character of the place was amazing. Beautiful and comfortable rooms, and all the facilities we could have wanted. The welcome pack was also a lovely added bonus.

There was nothing we didn't like. We just wished we could have stayed longer.

Cosy cottage in great location

Lovely cosy cottage. Great location close to Alton towers and right in the village so easy to walk to the pubs for dinner. Nice attic room for the kids. Good selection of ps games. Nice to have a few basic groceries to welcome us and a bottle of wine.

Happy weekend at Ash House

What a beautiful cottage, we were welcomed with a lovely bottle of wine, bread, milk and the kids favourite chocolate biscuits. Perfect location for visiting Alton Towers. Great little Londis near by. Very comfy beds and so good to have log fire.

It would be helpful to have a day light lamp by a mirror for getting ready and doing makeup.
