Beautiful cottage in stunning countryside. Very quiet and peaceful and safe. Washing machine and dishwasher were hugely useful. Lots of space and everything we needed. Very cosy and relaxing. We liked that we were "left to it" and got to enjoy our holiday and the cottage at our leisure. Seeing the cows walking by and calves was a delight, as were the cats and chickens.
Due to the gates leading to the parking outside the cottage needing to be opened and closed by guests (due to cows walking by every day), we got wet manure on our shoes on a couple of occasions. Had we been prepared for this prior to the trip, we'd have bought some bags that go over shoes. We used carrier bags after this happened initially.
