Résidence Marina Rossa

Die Anlage überzeugt durch ihre hervorragende Lage im Süden Korsikas. Sämtliche traumhaften Strände der Region sind in nur etwa 10–15 Minuten mit dem Auto erreichbar, und auch Porto-Vecchio liegt lediglich rund 10 Minuten entfernt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist zudem der ausgezeichnete Pflegezustand der Anlage. Alles ist sehr sauber, gepflegt und macht insgesamt einen hochwertigen Eindruck, sodass man sich vom ersten Moment an wohlfühlt.

Es ist Jammern auf hohem Niveau, denn insgesamt hatten wir einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Trotzdem gibt es aus unserer Sicht zwei bis drei Punkte, die verbessert werden könnten: Poolregeln: Wir waren nicht zum ersten Mal im Marina Rossa. Dieses Mal waren jedoch zwei Familien mit kleinen Kindern am Pool, die sich an keinerlei Regeln hielten – unter anderem wurde laut Musik über eine Boombox abgespielt und Kleinkinder gingen ohne Schwimmwindeln ins Wasser. Klare Poolregeln sowie deren Durchsetzung wären deshalb sinnvoll. Diskussionen mit solchen Gästen sind unangenehm und haben nicht wirklich zur Einsicht geführt... Abfallentsorgung: Die Gäste sind selbst für die Entsorgung ihres Abfalls verantwortlich. Die nächste Entsorgungsstelle ist jedoch nur mit dem Auto erreichbar und liegt etwa 6–7 Fahrminuten entfernt. Ohne Auto dürfte die Entsorgung kaum praktikabel sein. Hier wäre eine einfachere Lösung für die Gäste wünschenswert.

Rien tout était génial

What we liked about the property is the closeness to few nice little beaches. We visited as well the more famous beaches, However we did find the beaches close To the property more pleasant, and relaxing. And not overly crowded. As well, we took the opportunity this week to do some active day trips, climbing, cycling and canyoning. That could all be done well from this location, but surely as well from other locations.

We were somewhat disappointed for a variety of reasons: The property comprised of a ‘main’ house, and a small building with a separate bedroom in the garden. That separate room/building we could not use for sleeping, simply because the humidity in that room, and the associated humidity smell. It did not feel healthy to stay the night in that bedroom. So we had to organise ourselves with 4 people in the 2 remaining bedrooms in the main building. In the main building the toilet had a underlying urine smell. When reporting this to our contact person, immediately they took action, and came to do additional cleaning. This was appreciated well by us, however it did not solve the problem, somehow the unpleasant smell remained. The property we selected had a small patio, within concrete walls. It felt being locked in the garden, no grass nor sufficient space to relax. Some of the other adjacent properties seemed to have a more spacious garden, we would always recommend to select one of those. The pool that could be shared will 4 villas as well was within concrete walls, and lacked atmosphere. To ‘cold’ and not Inviting. Overall the Closed area on which the Villa Marina Rossa villa was located was too quiet for us. No activity, no real reception, not a little shop whatsoever. It felt isolated. There were few shops outside the park, one nice bakery, but overall the area seemed still under construction, and outside the gates not really clean. Obviously we came with different expectations, and we will use the learning from this experience.
