Zody House

Thank you Mr Binh, the Manager. Me and my wife, stayed here for 4 nights. The accommodation was 10/10. Excellent location, excellent convenience of things within the stay. Fully functional Kitchen, perfectly blending in the room. We had the washer in our balcony and adequate drying space for few clothes. Bathroom is bit small, western (Japanese ) toilet, and bathtub with shower but perfectly adequate. The location is Elite, and walking distance to majority of the city attractions. A very quiet and posh neighborhood, with Military Headquarters nearby. From paid pickup & drop service, to assistance with local day tours options, Mr Binh went the extra mile to help us with the arrangements. This was our first stay in Vietnam, and we loved it and would definitely love to come back again when in Hanoi.

Everything was at par. The property is very good. The bathroom ceiling needs a bit damp proofing but its something they will take care. Very nicely maintained and clean property.

Great location near to the old quarter and train street. Super calm.

Zody House is the perfect spot when staying in Hanoi. Very chill on a quiet little street but only a 6 min walk to the busy old quarter. The apartment had everything I needed and the host was super nice and helpful. I will definitely book again when in Hanoi.

Nothing

Check in was easy and smooth. The shower was hot and the apartment is quite well located, with most places of interest a 15-20 minute walk away. The mattress was comfortable and having a washing machine was great and it was easy to use.

While interactions with the owner were pleasant, first impressions count and the lobby needs a decent overhaul as it is not at all attractive. But the reason I gave this place a 5/10 is the lack of cleanliness. I cannot absolutely verify this but I do not believe the bed-sheet had been changed. It was stained and there was a smell to the pillowcases that suggested that they had not been changed either, which leads one to conclude that the doona cover hadn't been either. Gross. And how hard is it to wipe down surfaces like the cupboards? Or ensure that the coffee mugs are clean? Yet, the kettle (with broken lid) was unusable because, incongruously, it had been cleaned with some kind of cleaning liquid that tasted like bleach! Despite using bottled water and boiling it three times, I could not get rid of the taste of bleach in my cup of tea. I should think that engaging a fastidious cleaner is priceless, and they would be worth their weight in gold, when running an establishment like this. I finally made contact with the owner and he was quick to ensure the cleaner changed the bedsheet (and the new sheet further convinced me that the bed had not indeed been changed). I didn't bother raising the situation with the kettle - I only had to stay one more night and just wanted out TBH. I personally would not stay here again - for me, cleanliness is at the top of my list of priorities for what makes or breaks a stay.
