Lovely one bedroomed house in delightful grounds, with great views over Funchal . Use of large pool and very secure parking . Greeted warmly by Bruno , who was very helpful throughout

Visitors need to be aware that it is a 20/25 minute walk into the main part of town, steeply uphill on the return . However , there is a bus , and the taxi ride is very reasonable

Maria is a sweet host who toured us around the villa when we arrived. There was also a light breakfast prepared for us on the first day and snacks in the fridge which was a nice surprise. That bottle of hot sauce is amazing! She responds to any questions or requests you may have and lives next to the accommodation. The villa itself is beautiful with nice views from the lookout, a large pool, and a wonderful plant selection in the garden/surroundings. It has all the necessary amenities. The city centre is roughly a 15 min walk. There are local shops and restaurants too. Maria will absolutely take care of you. Thanks for having us!

This didn't bother us too much but there's a few things to know. If you are sleeping upstairs, then it will be noisy from the cars, and the sofa bed may be a little too firm and narrow for some but I still slept very well. Walking back up can be a workout as it's pretty steep but we just took a Bolt taxi back to the villa each time. The shower drains slowly. The pool is not heated.
