Superb place to stay. Lots of character, beautiful views and nice walks around. Dipthi the manager was very helpful and professional. We only had one nights stay and would like to have stayed for much longer. The evening meal was delicious and would definitely recommend it. Lovely breakfast sitting in the garden enjoying the company of everyone there and the lovely views. Very peaceful and relaxing place. My friend had a room to himself and I slept on a bunk bed in the shared male room. It was very comfy and I had a great nights sleep.

Coonoor is cold so make sure you have a fleece!

The location is absolutely ideal for those seeking tranquility, far removed from the noisy and bustling city streets. The ambience is warm, inviting, and exudes a serene charm, complemented by a breathtakingly picturesque setting that feels straight out of a postcard. The thoughtfully designed and visually striking “Dos and Don’ts” charts add a creative and engaging touch, making them both informative and delightfully eye-catching

Be prepared for a bit of a walk—around 1 to 1.5 kilometers—to reach a decent restaurant where you can enjoy a hot, comforting meal, especially in the chilly weather. While the property has its charm, cleanliness and overall orderliness leave room for improvement. There always seems to be something amiss—whether it’s a water heater that takes an eternity to warm up, leaking sanitary fittings, or a malfunctioning water purifier. What’s truly disappointing is the lack of adherence to basic etiquette by some guests. Imagine finishing your lunch or dinner and leaving soiled parcel boxes scattered across the table—an unpleasant sight for everyone. The management should consider enforcing stricter rules to ensure guests maintain cleanliness and respect shared spaces. A little more vigilance and accountability could go a long way in enhancing the overall experience. The dormitories are quite compact, and the beds are noticeably small—definitely not suitable for anyone over six feet tall! Adding a few practical touches, such as cloth hangers or wall hooks, would help.
