I never imagined the desert could be this romantic. Everything was designed to pamper us

It was a fantastic experience in the desert. We were picked up exactly at the agreed time and taken to the camp by 4x4.
The camp itself was extremely comfortable, with very large beds and a beautiful overall setup. Despite being a tented camp in the desert, the sanitary facilities were very good (good water pressure as well!). The food was delicious and very generous, actually more than enough.
We booked a day trip by 4x4, which we found less remarkable, and a quad tour, which we would definitely recommend as it offers great value for money. The staff were very friendly, and several spoke good English. The live music in the evening was a nice addition to the experience.
Upon arrival the camp looked different than the one we booked. Doing a bit research it seems that there are two camps: Mouhou Desert Camp (black tents) and Merzouga Desert Camps (white tents). As it seems, we were placed in Mouhou. In the end, this might not have affected our experience, as it seems similar on the pictures, but it would be fair to communicate this clearly in advance. This is especially relevant because the photos suggest that the white tents are not located in a dune basin, while the black tents are. For us (we were in the black tents) the dune basin was a major advantage, as it meant we could not see other camps. Nevertheless, we had a great experience.

The staff is very nice.
Location is perfect
The 4x4 excursion was awesome and the guide Aziz was such a knowledgeable person and very friendly and we had such a great time with him
We stayed 2 nights, which was nice to have some down time at the camp in the afternoon when it’s so quiet there
The prices of the meals even if the food was great but too expensive

Fab location, tents are good 👍, comfortable with en-suite.
Very cold but that’s because we went in Jan. Only guest there but suited us, food only ok
