Villa Aphrodite

Demitris was waiting for us at the villa even though it was 2am when we arrived which absolutely made the start of our holiday! He had gotten us some groceries in so we had breakfast items before we could get to the supermarket which was very welcome. He showed us where everything was and said he would come again in 3 days which he did bearing the most fresh and delicious donuts. There were a variety of cleaning products supplied like washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, surface cleaner, dishcloths and tea towels. We all felt like we had come to stay with a friend because he was so lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The bedrooms all had air conditioning in them which was essential due to the heat and we had no issues with any of them. I have to say the best bedroom, which everyone in our family party were envious of, was the four bedded extension room which I had seen some negative reports of previously. It was the most lovely and traditional cypriot room which lead out of the double doors onto the long balcony with the most amazing views. We were a family party of 2 grandparents, 3 parents with their partners and 8 children and every single one has said they want to return to this villa for our next family holiday! Thank you Demitris

The only thing I could say I wasn't keen on (and was nothing that Demitris could do anything about) was the very steep slope up to the main road. Fortunately, my son's didn't mind it and were happy to drive us up and down when we wanted to go out.

Very kind and excellent host, nice facilities, amazing view

It needs a little bit renovation however the cost at this season is fair.

The view from the pool area was stunning and due to the villa being on a hill we always had a nice breeze outside. I also liked the facilities such as the pool table, the sauna, the pool jaccuzi function and the ping pong table. The villa overall was big in size and was perfect for our group. Mr. Dimitris seems like a great host and is very good in communicating.

The main issue was the aircondition timer in some of the rooms. In a country like Cyprus there should have been a way to bypass this function at least during the main summer months. We visited during a period of extreme heatwave and my friends could not sleep during the night as they had to keep waking up every two hours to turn the AC back on. In addition, there was an extra room (the one with 4 single beds) as an extention to the main house made of wood and felt like a dusty greenhouse as the AC in there was broken. Our friend staying in there had an allerginc reaction to the dust, took antihistamines and left from the villa. Finally, there are 7 bathrooms in the villa but only 2 had hand soap and 1 toilet paper each. I understand it is not mandatory to have that but it would be nice if there was more than 1 toilet paper and more hand soaps.

Very beautiful house, view, swimming pool, just everything. Would really recommend it. We had plenty of room for 15 people, I think we could’ve stayed here with double.
