Lovely views - beautiful cozy artistic interior. Feels like home. Enjoyed it so much. Abu Amar & the cook, she was lovely. Homemade meals. It was a super nice experience.
No electricity/hot water on our last day.

Beit Al Fannan is a real gem, we enjoyed everything about the house and every moment we were there. Hamad was welcoming and very helpful throughout, and having breakfast freshly prepared by Um Ammar was a delight. The big terraces provide a stunning view. We could spend hours there reading, drawing, and having snacks, gazing at the changing colours of the surrounding hills and the ruins during the sunset. We also enjoyed listening to and watching little birds making nests around the house. Everywhere is tastefully decorated, from the living room to the bathrooms. The kitchen was well equipped (we brought ingredients and cooked dinner ourselves), and the upstairs bedroom was very spacious, and they had added a single bed for our child. We enjoyed discovering how Mr. Ammar Khamash designed and constructed this beautiful place, giving full respect to nature. The house is full of his artwork, and it inspired us to draw and paint while we were there! We plan to go back as soon as we can!
Nothing!

Beautiful, peaceful paradise of a guesthouse - we wish we could have stayed for much longer. We were warmly welcomed by the caretakers of the property (and they were very patient when we realized we'd arrive much later than we'd planned). The views are incredible and sunset is just magical. The downstairs unit (basically a full, small apartment) was ideal––a nice-sized kitchen, living room, small terrace, good and comfortable bed + bedroom––and everything very clean and proper. The breakfast was DELICIOUS - and plentiful! We'd have loved to stay reading and doing art in the upstairs living room all day. The house also has lovely history and is a wonderful tribute to the artist/architect/founder. Highly recommend!
The dinner pricing (order ahead and at a fixed rate) was fairly high given the usual Jordanian pricing. I'm sure that the food would have been delicious (breakfast certainly was!) but living in Jordan we know the usual pricing and decided not to request dinner. However, we didn't realize how few restaurants, or even falafel spots, would be around (and hadn't planned to cook so didn't bring food with us), and we ended up on a late-night hunt (eventually finding a falafel place on the main road coming into town). Partly our fault for not thinking ahead on this, but we'd suggest that Beit al Fannan consider offering a range of lower-priced meals as well (e.g. even as simple as lentil soup + bread + salad for 5, even 10, JOD).

Location, view, sunset.
The food was less elaborate. The breakfast had many jams but not as many savory spreads.
