Milat Cave

The place is beautiful, the hospitality is top class, the property is situated close to the main road so it is a short walking distance from the Main Street, the staff is accommodating and helpful, the views are spectacular , the rooms are clean and if you need anything the receptionists are willing to assist. Special thanks to the Day time Manager for all the assistance during our stay and for making our last minute air balloon travel possible. 🇿🇦🇹🇷

I had a pleasant stay at Milat Cave Hotel. The location is very convenient, just a few minutes’ walk from the center of Göreme. I actually appreciated being slightly outside the busiest area, because bars and restaurants can stay noisy until late, while this area was much quieter but still reachable in less than 5 minutes on foot. The hotel has a cozy and traditional atmosphere, and the rooms are charming. It honestly felt a bit like staying at my grandmother’s house, in a positive and comforting way. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the bathroom was spacious with a small window. Some rooms may be a bit noisier since they are close to the reception or breakfast area. Mine was near the reception, but earplugs solved the issue easily. Mobile signal was not great inside the hotel, so it’s better to rely on the Wi-Fi. There are terraces both on the rooftop and at ground level. Breakfast included both savory and sweet options, and the staff were kind and helpful. I also booked a shared airport transfer through the hotel: everything worked smoothly, well organized with fair price. Overall, I think this hotel offers good value for money and I would book it again.

One small suggestion for improvement could be the communication before arrival regarding tours. The hotel was available to help with bookings, which was appreciated, and it could be even more helpful to provide a short summary with what’s included and pickup times, as it would make organizing activities a bit easier for guests.

Man with braces on the reception and young lady with glasses really nice. Ladies at breakfast also nice. Room was beautiful, clean and extremely comfortable. Location is great and the rooftop is a good place to watch the balloons.

When we first arrived the man on reception was slightly hostile. He described the tours to us and we said no thank you and we were going to do the hikes etc ourself to which he laughed? We felt a little judged as we are a young couple with our backpacks, almost as though we shouldn’t have been there? On the first night we were kept awake by a family down our corridor who had their door wide open and allowed their children to scream at the top of their lungs until 1am. This is obviously not the hotels fault, but we were right above the reception and there is a member of staff working on reception 24hrs. They would have definitely heard this. I would have thought they’d have intervened considering people wake up to see the balloons at 4:30 but no. I had to go and ask them to be quiet myself. Breakfast was nice but doesn’t really look like the photos provided so bare this in mind, I booked this hotel because I was looking forward to all of the fruits displayed on the pictures. Each morning they had apples and orange slices out.
