LOVED the location! Great views of the mountains and short walk to transportation, restaurants and shopping. Comfortable beds, stocked kitchen, and space to feel at home with our large family. Also loved how Pete met us at the bus stop, walked us to his place, and welcomed us with great instructions and advice.

It was awesome! Can’t say enough good things about our stay. Pete was so helpful before and during our visit. We loved it and would stay again in a heartbeat if we ever get to visit this beautiful place again.

Pete was responsive and helpful whenever we reached out with booking-related questions or requests, and we appreciated that. Location was also central and convenient for us.

Our stay turned out to be far more uncomfortable than it should have been, mainly because of hygiene issues and the way things were handled. Unfortunately, the cleanliness on arrival was alarming. The toaster looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned at all—the crumb tray was packed with old crumbs that clearly weren’t from us. Even worse, one of the drinking glasses had what appeared to be a used contact lens stuck inside, which was genuinely disturbing. The frying pan also had a greasy film, making it clear it hadn’t been properly washed prior to our check-in. These issues made it difficult to feel comfortable using the kitchen and raised doubts about the overall hygiene standards. The overall atmosphere was also unpleasant. We could hear Pete raising his voice at guests upstairs during their checkout, which was awkward and unsettling to witness as fellow paying guests. Whatever the circumstances, guests should not be spoken to in that manner, and it left us feeling uneasy. Checkout was also stressful, as staff arrived before the stated time, creating unnecessary pressure while we were still wrapping up. A few breakfast items were left in the sink due to the rush, but the apartment was otherwise tidy, undamaged, and left in good condition. After checkout, the follow-up communication felt overly harsh and condescending. If there are strict requirements—such as all dishes needing to be washed and the place left “spotless”—they should be clearly stated upfront in the Booking.com listing. Only rubbish separation was communicated clearly, so the stricter expectations felt like they were introduced after the stay. Overall, poor hygiene and unprofessional behaviour took away from what should have been a relaxing holiday. Clearer guidelines and more respectful communication would prevent similar experiences for future guests.
