Beautiful Caban Bryn Arw
Wonderful stay here from start to finish. Communication was excellent, thank you for the milk and cookies, very kind. The Hut was very clean and simply beautiful. Best nights sleep for as long as i remember! The shower was amazing and big too. Nature right outside, i found breathtaking. 4 days walking around barefoot, resting and quietness. Bliss!

A perfect romantic getaway – exceeded all expectations!
Currently on my last night/morning at Caban Bryn Arw with my fiancée for a weekend escape, and it has been nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the peaceful surroundings, stunning views of the mountains, and the thoughtful touches that made the cabin feel so special. The cabin itself is beautifully designed—cosy, immaculately clean, and has all you need, including great WiFi. The log burner inside is amazing, especially for my fiancée who’s always cold! We were really grateful for the tea, coffee, biscuits, and milk that had been thoughtfully provided. As this is our first holiday together, we were a bit ill-prepared and hadn’t done quite enough research, so those little extras were a very welcome treat. Despite being in a remote location, we were even able to get a few takeaways delivered to the cabin, which was a pleasant surprise! Although we didn’t do much walking—my fiancée isn’t much of a walker, and to be honest that wasn’t really the intention of the getaway—local maps were provided in the cabin if we had fancied exploring one of the longer routes. It’s clear that outdoor lovers would have plenty to enjoy here. One of my favourite touches was the notebook filled with messages from previous visitors. It was a joy to read through everyone’s experiences, and we happily added a note of our own. The bathroom, located just a few steps away from the cabin, was top notch—spotlessly clean with a powerful shower, and the shower gel provided was absolutely heavenly. A special shout-out goes to the wonderful hosts, Carol and George, who were absolutely lovely—warm, welcoming, and full of local knowledge. They struck the perfect balance of being available if we needed anything, while also giving us complete privacy to enjoy the stay. This place is a real gem. Whether you're looking for a romantic break or just a peaceful retreat, Caban Bryn Arw is a must-visit.

Beautiful little breakaway
I lived everything about this stay. It has a uniqueness and character that I was not expecting. Would lived to have spent longer there and will return. It's only a few miles from a main town but you would think you are out and away enjoying the nature and countryside. Hosts were more than willing to solve any problem if it was to arise. Our stay was flawless.

It rained a lot , so a cover over the washing up area would have been helpful, but we had our waterproofs, so it wasn’t too bad.

Relaxing break so near to Sugar Loaf. Lovely owners. Everything seemed to have been thought of. Wood for an outdoor firepit and a log burner inside if needed. Small twin gas ring and grill for cooking and a small fridge. Excellent hot shower and some eco cleaning products provided. All good quality bedding, mattress and towels .

It was an absolutely beautiful, gorgeous, cute little sheppards hut!!!☺☺ Comes with a little cooker, frying pan, sauspan, wisteling kettle, cutlery ect... absolutely stunning views and lots of walks right on the door step of where we stayed. A beautiful country pub just a couple miles down the road. And a small town called Abergavenny. We manged to walk up the sugar loaf mountain with in a couple of hours, including to going to the brecon beacons seeing 4 stunning waterfalls all in one day!!! It was worth absolutely every second, just everything was stunning&beautiful country side wales!!! Very breathtaking views!!! Would definitely come back again to explore more!!!☺☺🏴🏴🏴

We celebrated our anniversary there - it was perfect.
It was clean, very well equipped and very cosy. There was a fire pit outside to sit by and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening, a hammock to read in, and the shower was fantastic. Also it was only a 5 minute walk to the base of the Sugar Loaf Mountain.

Relaxing, quiet and romantic hide away.
The owners are very friendly, they suggested a few activities (watching stars was wonderful!). Caban is clean and comfortable. Based in the middle of nowhere which is extremely relaxing. Hikes around Black Mountains are stunning. Not many tourist which was perfect :) calming sounds of nature, far away from the main road :)
Advert says there's wifi on the site but it's not true which was rather dissapointing. No internet, no phone signal either.
Water was warm but not hot so showers had to be really quick 😂

Fab stay, no phone signal was brilliant and added to the peace and quiet! It was a little wetter then anticipated so we were unable to get out walking as much as we had planned but the board games collection kept us occupied.
