The villa is right on the beach, the staff were friendly and effective.

The property is located in the middle of a Balinese village with people who keep fighting roosters (a rather common occurrence in Bali. Those roosters scream most of the daytime making it impossible to take a nap AND waking one up at 5:30 morning. There’s no escaping the noise, no headphones or earplugs will help. Bad value for money overall - other villas in the area can be rented for the same price with better and newer facilities and no noise issues.

Amazing staff. So friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Amazing food. Best relaxing stay. Close to Blue Lagoon for great snorkelling.

Didn’t stay long enough

this is an exceptional property, from the moment you walk through the gates you are met with a truly stunning view, the villa itself is true luxury, and the staff we're exceptional, we ate at the villa every night and the meals were fantastic, freshly cooked in the villa kitchen, if I could rate this as 11/10 it is what it deserves,

The Villa staff were there ready to greet us, showed us around and made us feel instantly welcome and comfortable. The Villa is fantastic, even better than the photos! Beautiful rooms, so much glass, floor to ceiling, amazing views ,so close to the sea, beach and beautiful gardens. We enjoyed eating outside most of the time, better than any restaurant for location! Snorkling and kayaking straight off the beach was great fun. The villa pool is fantastic, larger and deeper than I thought it looked from the photo. Wide ranging menu to choose meals to be cooked by in villa chef, which suited our group well, with some fussier eaters. The staff just ask for around 2hrs notice for meals but are flexible. Reasonable cost. Daily housekeeping to a high standard. Easy walking distance to nearest high street shops ( with gifts shops, food convenience , restaurants and spas, although Candidasa is a small rural place. We had a private driver ( very los cost) who helped us get to all the best places in Bali, and make the most of our holiday. Wished we had booked for longer.

Our weather wasn't great but even when it rained, there is a lovely outdoor seating area, covered, very comfortable with loads of cushions, looking out to sea. Getting out on excursions ( to Ubud, Waterfalls, Quad biking, temples, traditional villages/ workshops, coffee plantation etc) on alternate days worked well with changeable weather. Unusual for the time of year ( 5th July for 6nights). The villa toilets smelled of sewage , presumably related to the heavy rain? But we just kept the doors shut!

Villa Cocoa Maya is a beautiful villa located on the beachfront in Candi Dasa. Every room was divine with their own bathroom and stunning views of tiny islands and the surrounding palm fringed coast and interior. The pool was huge with plenty of sun lounges in a tropical garden shaded by frangipani trees. We were a large family group so we were extremely grateful to our villa manager Komang who organised all our transport needs for various excursions including a snorkelling tour to The Blue Lagoon and water palaces, as well as massages at the villa, restaurant bookings and all our meals. The rest of the staff were also delightful and the food was so delicious that we rarely went out for meals preferring to have them at the huge table in the garden watching the sunrise and sunsets. We were really sad to leave and cannot wait to return sometime in the future to this magical place.

Location excellent. Right beside the sea. Staff delightful, so kind and helpful. Beautiful bedrooms and decor. Comfy beds.

Bathroom towels not great quality and only changed every three days so they didn’t look very nice.

Vila je malý ráj na zemi. Je krásně a vkusně zařízená, zahrada je nádherná a gazebo a domeček s kulečníkem jsou fantastické. Přímo ze zahrady je vstup do moře. Personál skvěle vaří, je velmi diskrétní a snažil se nám pomoct s jakoukoliv záležitostí. Jeli jsme na Bali s tím, že chceme strávit 10 dnů válením, koupáním, hraním kulečníku a ochutnáváním asijské kuchyně. Toto zadání vila a její personál naprosto splnila a všem se nám pobyt líbil. Pokud bychom ještě někdy jeli na Bali, určitě bychom rádi bydleli znovu v této vile. Rybářský výlet stál opravdu za to - nachytali jsme asi 14 ryb (nejvíc u nedalekého ostrova), které nám pak kuchařky udělaly k obědu.

Vila má čtyři problémy, o kterých by hosté měli vědět. Za prvé - v sousedství chovají odhadem tak 40 kohoutů trénovaných k boji v chrámech. Ti začínají kokrhat ve 4:00 ráno, takže v nejkrásnější ložnici úplně nahoře pod střechou se v podstatě nedá spát. Za druhé - za plotem vily začíná místní vesnice plná nehezkých betonových domků obehnaných betonovým plotem s chovem domácího zvířectva. Candidasa není moc hezké město a vede skrz ni brutálně frekventovaná silnice. Celé Bali je zoufale přelidněné - na rozloze asi tak Libereckého kraje tam žije 4,5 miliónu lidí. Podle toho to také vypadá. Za třetí - pláž před vilou je malá, v moři se dá koupat asi tak na vzdálenost 20-30 metrů od břehu. Pak je lavice z ostrých korálů, která jde odhadem 100-200 metrů do moře. Plavat tak lze jen u břehu. Vstup do moře nedoporučuji bez bot na koupání kvůli rozlámaným korálům. V době našeho pobytu začínala stavba nové pláže, kde má město nasypat pár desítek metrů kamení a písku a vytvořit úplně novou pláž. To může vše, co popisuji výše, změnit k lepšímu i horšímu. Za čtvrté - některé dlaždice v bazénu byly prasklé a hned první den si partner mé dcery dvakrát rozřízl chodidlo. Poslední upozornění - určitě si nesjednávejte offroad výlet s GunGGunG. Stál nás skoro 400 € a skládal se z šestihodinového ježdění 50 let starým Landcruiserem po asfaltových cestách vesničky v horách a oběda. Po dvou hodinách jsem je poslal kamsi a vyhádal vratku 40% ceny.
