The location was amazing! We prefer to travel and stay in residential areas and experience local life. For us, this was the perfect area. The owner is lovely and very hospitable.
There were a few minor draw backs not because of the property but our expectations. The kitchen is not a full size western kitchen we were hoping for. It resembles more of a western hotel mini fridge and microwave set up. When traveling with a child it was a bit challenging but workable.
The other was the loss of hot water on our last days. Minor issues for us but something to consider if you are use to different standards.

Location was fine. In old town, but we didn't spend much time there. Short drive from the airport.
Host was supposed to leave the keys in the door but didn't. Luckily another cottage had the keys left so we ended up in someone else's cottage that didn't show up. It was a little strange the next day when those people showed up as we were packing up to leave. Welcome to Thailand!
