Moulin Kann Villas

We had to check out early (after a day of stay) because the villa was completely uninhabitable. The air conditioning was broken, making the room humid. We notified the property manager in person. In our initial verbal face to face conversation following this, the owner told us that it might not be possible to fix the problem by the next day morning, and this was unacceptable to us. The owner then explained to us that they can either move us to another room with a working AC unit (that did not have an attached private pool, which they claimed they would then refund if we pursued this option), or we can book an alternative accomodation for the remaining nights of our stay in Seychelles, and that they would refund us for the remaining nights of our stay. We decided to pursue the second option, as we were really dissatisfied with other aspects of the accomodation as well, that we did not bring to the attention of the owner, as this AC issue was the most pertinent. We asked the owners to send us a message on Whatsapp, confirming that we have brokered this arrangement, so that we have this somewhere in writing. They agreed, and even took down my number (as these conversations happened with the owner's wife, who was not the one managing the accomodation's Whatsapp, and she did not have my number). However, this message was never sent, and about an hour after this initial conversation, the owner's wife came back to our room and told us that the AC unit COULD actually be fixed the next day itself as opposed to what was previously strongly implied. She also added that because the issue could not be fixed by the next day itself, we will most likely not be able to get our refund. Do note that in the previous conversation, there was the heavy implication that the issue could not be solved by the next day, which is why alternative accomodations were discussed in the first place. Between the first conversation and the second conversation, we managed to salvage the situation on our end, based on our information from the first conversation, and made a non refundable booking at another accomodation on Agoda. This put us in a very difficult spot, as we were suddenly told that we will not get our refund, as there is sudden new information that we did not have at the time of the alternative booking. I hope it is understandable that we had to move fast within the hour in between these 2 conversations, as we were sure of this arrangement that we had discussed with the owner's wife verbally, and the owner's wife just changed her words to pu themselves in the best position. They futther mentioned that they mever refund anyone. To add to that, there were many things that are written on their Agoda listing that were not actually present in their accomodation. Namely, there was no private beach (public beach), no restaurant near the villa (the restaurant that has a tie in with the villa is 6.6k. away), no bar, no indoor and outdoor swimming pool (only swimming pool is the outdoor one attached to the villa), no 24h front desk (we tried calling twice through our stay but no one picked up, and we had to go and check at reception in person), no air conditioning in public area (although im not entirely sure what their definition of this is), and no washing machine coin operated or otherwise (they told us that they instead provide a paid laundry service only). Furthermore, there was a crack on one of the sliding glass doors (living room), which we noticed quite soon after arrival, but we did not mention this to the owners, as we did not want to make a fuss about something we could adjust around (we just did not use that door). This experience really made our honeymoon trip sour. The owners were not understanding at all so save yourself and book a better accomodation even if it costs more.

The villa is spacious and clean. The plunge pool was the highlight of our stay.

Host was very nice. The property is accessible to nearby touristy location.
