The location was brilliant, just 5 min walk into Keswick centre.
The heating was good, warmed the place up very quickly.
The beds were comfortable.
Definitely not 3 star. Not as advert described - no dvd player, only 3 dining chairs, not enough glasses for all.
We had to wash all cutlery and crockery before we used it as it was left dirty. The microwave was unusable due to being filthy. Dirty towels left in the washing machine. Very small fridge for 4.

Close proximity to the town centre and spacious.
Property was dirty with dog biscuits under a wardrobe and cobwebs on light fittings, NO WIFI! cutlery and cookware very dated, huge crack in the wall in living room. Bathroom had loose fitting in the bath. Light bulbs in hallway one that was dimmer than a candle and one that didn’t work, made coming and going with the dark night interesting. Carpets in living room need cleaned as stained and sofas could do with replacing.

Location is fabulous. Couldn't be better. Nice having a chill out area and kitchen
So I will take some responsibility on this, but no WiFi. Don't think iv ever stayed at a place with no wife. So because of this we couldn't really chill watching TV as the only channel we could watch was BBC. The other channels wouldn't show. I think they should charge a bit more and add wifi.. other than that I liked our apartment

Location was great and very quiet. Beds comfy. Nice view from rear at mountains
Rental company completely unresponsive to messages sent on booking.com app.
1/3 of a roll of toilet paper was left for 4 people for two days. I messaged the property and got no response what so ever. We purchased our own in the end.
Although it was never stated on the property listing there was NO wifi. This is very weird in 2025 especially when phone reception is very poor very in the property/area so having wifi when coming back from a long days hike is hardly a massive ask. People have complained about this for nearly a decade in the guest book that you can read yourself, yet nothing has been done about it. Just put the extra 50p a day charge onto the customer and they will stop moaning about this aspect.
There was a large bird poo on the main bedroom window that looked like its been there for weeks, yet the cleaning staff hadn't bothered to clean it off. This spoiled the view of the mountains. They could have literally leaned out the window next to it and wiped it off. I only mention this as it looked like it had been there for WEEKS and so must have been seen MANY times by cleaning staff. And yes I realise this probably isnt the cleaning staffs job to clean outer windows, but to have to wait weeks between window cleaners is daft.
The bathroom has a velux window but there is NO pole to open it up with, so the bathroom never gets vented properly as there is no vent either. The toilet takes forever to fill back up after a flush (Not a major issue but I just thought I'd mention it).
Kitchen was OK but the fridge is quite small and it has no freezer section. I have no idea why horrible pipes on the wall from the boiler haven't been covered over to make the kitchen look a little better?
The accomodation really was like stepping back into the 90s and could do with a bit of an update.
Stay marred by useless rental company lack of ANY replies. (I've still not had one and I'm back home now)

No dishcloth or washing up liquid

We could only get bbc 1,2,3 and 4 channels on the television.
There was no WiFi.
A non-slip mat and grab rail for the bath/ shower would improve safety.

The property is located very close to the bus stop and the city centre. The bedrooms have a lovely view of the mountain. We found the beds and sofas very comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. We were also satisfied with all the kitchen utensils and enjoyed some cooking there. Overall, we had a lovely time in this property.
• The welcome message on this platform was somewhat confusing. We tried multiple times to get in touch, but were unable to contact the host and the local office prior to our arrival.
• As mentioned in previous comments, the apartment did not have Wi-Fi, which was a bit inconvenient. However, we managed to enjoy our time there by bringing HDMI cable to connect with our laptops using mobile data.

Location, comfortable beds spacious
Never used cooking facilities just look unclean and cooker outdated . Bin bags too small for bin in kitchen, first aid box need replenishing no light bulb on light in double bedroom rusty radiators and bath.
shower was good . Could do with having 2 keys to property.
Had a three night stay overpriced. Overall the flat needs a good refurb.

There is no WiFi there, what a pity!

Fantastic property location. Clean and comfortable. Good value for money - was the cheapest place we could find at a busy time of year.
Kitchen cooker and some other culinary/domestic items could do with replacing as they are becoming quite dated. Could do with a brush for the kitchen floor, rather than relying on the hoover.

Location was excellent. All facilities pubs, cafes, shops etc very close by. Bus stop only 5 minute walk away. Excellent bus service, we didn't use the car while we were there. Went everywhere on the bus.
Serendipity was a first floor flat. When I booked it, it said 'whole house', therefore I was expecting to be staying in a terraced house. It was clean but in need of some TLC, bathroom needed updating, new cooker needed (think the one in the kitchen would fetch a fair bit on Antiques Roadshow!!). Two main windows in lounge did not close securely, the window in the twin room did not open at all,. We informed Cumbrian Cottages office on the Saturday (day after we arrived) but they did not show up until Tuesday (after a reminder from us). All windows were repaired. Neighbours at number 37 spent the first three evenings sitting in their rear courtyard smoking and drinking until 2am, their voices getting louder and louder. On the Sunday we had a word with them and from then on it was quiet. Think they could be permanent residents in the house although the sign outside was 'Hall Garth' Guest House, however the telephone number stated on the sign was no longer in use!!
It would benefit from up to date paperwork in the information folder, e.g. sticker on boiler stated 'next service due 2017'!! Stickers on electrical items was showing 2018 as last service. I asked the Cumbrian Cottages man and he said that these services would have been carried out. It would be helpful if dates of service were contained in the folder so no-one staying in the flat would be in any doubt.

Really good location, basic but just what we wanted! If you just want somewhere to stay for a few days it was ideal.
Little bit more cleaner, pans were still dirty. The men of the group did complain about no wifi - but you are here to embrace the outdoors!
