Weir Cottage

Wonderful - the host met us on arrival even though we were very late to arrive

honestly, there was literally nothing to "not like" - the host was great, we felt very much at home and comfortable

Well furnished, spacious cottage, set in a beautiful garden. Everything that one needs was supplied, our host also met us in person and explained all facilities in detail. Shane provided fresh bread, butter, jam and a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge for us which was a nice touch. We celebrated our Wedding Anniversary and received a lovely card congratulating us from our hosts which was much appreciated. There is free parking on site as well as a dishwasher, a washing machine and a fridge / freezer that provides crushed ice and cold water. There are plenty of cooking utensils and some spice to get you started.

Fordingbridge is situated on the edge of The New Forest with easy access to the coast and many interesting places to visit. We have used self catering cottages in many European countries and the UK. Weir Cottage has the most practical equipment, cooking utensils, crockery etc. we have encountered. The hosts were very friendly and made us very welcome. They were able to provide us with useful information about the local area and places to visit. The house is centrally situated and very comfortable (the bed in particular). There is a large rear well laid out garden We would recommend the house and intend to visit it again.
